"Beatrice ... murdered and wrongly sent to the Underworld"? Good grief!
Next we'll hear about the in-game help system, Virtual Internally Referenced Game Information Library.

Fixed your link.
I shall apprise our web devs about this link welter. As a quick workaround I can suggest writing your link address in the "My message:" field, mark the whole address (with "http://" etc.) and then clicking the link button under the sign "My message:" (the one with chain symbol).
WORST PLOT EVER!

I still don't think it's going to be that bad. In this month's Play magazine cover story and in the interview they keep saying how they want to be faithful in broad strokes.
I never thought i'd say this, but....the trailer looks decent. It's also absurd if you know who Dante was and what he has written, but it doesn't look too bad.
Especially if you look at that landscape of mouths seen at the end (probably representing Gluttony). If they're going for that type of art direction it MIGHT turn out decent. A sort of "Dante's Inferno as directed by Guillermo Del Toro" :)
However, i still can't get my mind around the fact that Dante looks like that.
Just take a look at what Dante looked like and you'll see what i mean.

Yeah, I think you have a point -- if it wasn't for Dante, it'd be easier for me to be positive about this. Still, twisting the story to something totally traditional and overdone (the Beatrice thing)...and basically fitting the game into an exact God of War mold.....really pisses me off. GoW seems good and all, but it's been DONE. I want something NEW and DIFFERENT. I think a really nice and original touch would be to do the game in its original language with subtitles. How fucking cool would that be?
The Dante comparison was done in the article. ;)

I hate the trailer.
Is it just me or could the main character be replaced with a generic ninja looking bloke and it'd look quite a bit like ninja gaiden?
Buggerit, millennium hand and shrimp!
That travesty is ................ARRRRGGH! Words fail me.
If they just titled it "Inferno" and said somewhere in some developers' interview that they were inspired by Dante's Inferno then maybe, just maybe this wouldn't be a walking horror show.
RIP Dante Alighieri......I hope your grave has spinning room.

Yeah, inspired by is fine but this is just... eww.
Wonder if Alighieri could spin so fast that he takes off, like in cartoons...

He's probably spinning fast enough for Italy to use the energy created by his spin to power the entire COUNTRY. EA Games : They turned Dante into an alternator for an entire nation. Thanks, guys!
