Inclusion in bundle incoming in December?

Considering there were sales in the past on games that were not even fully released (early access), I don't think it is record but it is damn fast. There is absolutely no reason for consumer to buy indies on release when they know there will be big discount within month of release.

It's been roughly that price at G2A.com, the Ranger Edition at least.

um.that really isnt true. kickstarted games generally wont unless they want to piss off backers bigtime. ive actually rarely seen any new indies get a hefty discount aside from usual 10 to 20 %at launch.would be suicide to do anymore inside 6 months unless its a really crap game.
Besides many ppl buy to support dev unlike cheapasses waiting for lowest price
What a strange coincidence. Shadows: Heretic Kingdoms also has a 50% discount less than a week after its final release. Granted, though, it has been available for half a year as an early access game.
UP

A look at steamcharts (and at the stalling reviews number) indicates that the discount didn't result in higher sales. Like Lars Doucet wrote in a recent article : there is no point to do sales discount if you don't do the promotion to advertise it.

Not very surprising. >_<
I don't know what some people are expecting. Of course sales will start slowly, when I released my software (not a game) I was glad I could get even ten sales during the first month. Customers are not stupid, many will wait until the product has been out for a while and there are honest reviews so they can make an informed decision.

The developers should be glad they got any sales at all and be grateful to those initial customers who took the risk, not screw them over with a 50% discount a mere week after launch. Were they expecting people would just start throwing money at the screen simply because the game exists? Selling is an uphill battle and you need to employ every technique there is if you want to succeed. There is not even a demo available to try the game out.
It's not a mistake. The game most likely isn't selling much of anything, so this is a try from the devs to start making at least some money. But in the end this is one of those titles which people will get with bundles, but will never play that much, just like most of the titles in bundles.
Who knows how they calculate their prices - "8,99 Euro" certainly sounds less exciting than "50% off on a completely new release, only this week" ...
I was browsing the sales, I saw 90% off on a 60+€ title. That feels off...
