Darvond: Howdy, ya'll! I was just wondering where you kindred folks hail from, what's your home forum, is what I'm asking.

Sadly for me, I majorly hail from the /b/ of Art, deviantArt. A worse community can be easily found, but it is a fine example of what staff neglect can do to a site.

TwoHandedSword: I too claim citizenship from the land of deviantART, though it's more of a happily adopted country than a birthplace. And while the site has had its ups and downs over the years, I have to admit I don't quite share your pessimistic outlook for its future.
I hold a few grains of hope, but just not under the current structure of decentralized management. Communication between staff and volunteers is one thing, but communication between staff and community is another. There's just this horrid distance I feel toward the staff of deviantArt, They seem like a council of vagueness rather than humans like the staff of GOG.

Darvond: So wait, some forum users decided to steal an unreleased game from Blizzard?
avatar
El_Caz: Only in writing. They wrote stories with made up characters raiding Blizzard and trying to steal the gold master of the game.
An elaborate roleplay, then.

Darvond: What if someone reveals that they're a SA goon?
What's wrong with that? I'm a fa/tg/uy.

Nothing's wrong with that, I'd be elated to see goons around here, just like it brings me a smile to see TotalBiscut.
