If it is big, green, regenerates it's wounds and can be killed ony by fire or acid, then it's troll.

Boredom. It is terribly entertaining to goad an overly emotional reaction out of someone over trivial things. Jerks, assholes, people with too much time on their hands. Mostly normal otherwise.

Sometimes, trolling is useful to calm down your rage against the crap the gaming and tech industry throws at you all the time these days. But I'm not your ordinary troll anyway....

I know what unmakes a troll: fire and acid weapons/spells.

Otherwise the buggers just keep regenerating...

I guess they are bit of everything: bored, unpolite, think they deserve better or think their opinion is extremely valuable, feel safe in their anonymous position, maybe a bit slow on understanding the positions of others, definitely attention seeking with a tendency to narcism.

Add all this, maybe leave one or two things out, stir and you get a troll.
