DProject: I worry this one might not make it,; its Kicktraq trend's been balancing on the both sides of 100% for the past couple of weeks if not longer, and slowly it's been declining even further away from the goal. The current trend seems to be 93% of goal, while they've reached 69% of the goal so far. Granted, there's still 16 days left, but there's not even a thousand backers yet, and lately they've only gotten about $100-250 worth of pledges per day, and an average of maybe ten new backers per day. Let's hope it peaks though as it's nearing the end date, it would be a shame to see this one fail! Come on GOGers, show some support if you at all can, a petty $5 already gets you a copy! I personally am very eager to become a defender of this haunted mansion and make sure the intruders leave empty-handed, or don't ever leave at all.
Yes, I decided to make a pledge because I'm not sure if they make it.

I like the idea, and the graphics remind me of some Spectrum / Commodore games like Knights lore or Head over heels.
But I guess in the end they'll get some more attention and they gonna make it. 5$ isn't much.

I'm pretty sure it will. Lots of projects which were in worse positions did. Anything at 70% with over 2 weeks to go is something people are interested in. These people will spam and up pledges to help the project get funded.

This other project Sam Suede in Undercover Exposure has increased this incentive, withholding details of two of the game's important characters until they reach $20K.

Sam Suede looks hopeless to me.
Updated the OP with Paper Sorcerer, Outeredge, Rappan Athuk and Sam Suede.
Time for a "Creators of" segment:

Creator of the Flash point'n'click Reincarnation games is trying to fund a full-fledged adventure game in the series.
Reincarnation: The Root of All Evil

"Descent-inspired six-axis shooter" from the creators of Sol Survivor:
Retrovirus

Oops, I'm late by like, and [url=http://www.gog.com/en/forum/general/what_kickstarter_projects_are_worth_taking_note_of/post973]weeks, my bad... You've posted about adding those lowyhong, but they're not in the OP?

The makers of Reversion has set up a kickstarter (actually indiegogo) for part 2 in the series:
http://www.indiegogo.com/reversion
Part 1 is free:
http://www.reversion-eljuego.com.ar/en/

The game is being made by a small game studio from Argentina, and it is always nice to see games come out of other parts of the world than just Europe, North America, Japan & Australia.

(By the way, Scratches is also from Argentina)
Has anyone mentioned Retrovirus yet?

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/cadenzainteractive/retrovirus

It is a Decent style shooter from the makers of Sol Survivor.

Pitch:
"Retrovirus is a Descent-inspired six-axis shooter, with levels designed to force players to think off the ground and out of the box. Its pacing is similar to classic shooters like Quake and Unreal Tournament, and agile movement is at the core of the experience"
I mentioned it a bit ago...I definitely second that!!
One that has currently just launched that might be interesting to fans of manga is that Digital Manga is doing a Kickstarter to publish Osamu Tezuka's Unico. In the past they have done Kickstarters for both Barbra and Swallow the Earth, and have continued the trend with Unico.

The link for the Unico Kickstarter can be found here.

I really shouldn't back that, but as a fan of comics and somebody with an active interest, I'm incredibly tempted to back it anyways as he is a huge figure in the genre and a man of immense range.

You might recall that when I joined GOG, I did so with the name "LordKuruku". That is a Unico reference. In other words, I need money and I need it fast.

It's the guy who created Astroboy and founder of anime!

OTOH, international shipping is quite pricey. $60 for rewards above $45 tier.
