Damn. Still, their goal was pretty high, to begin with.
Wow, check this out:
Chris Avellone and Tim Cain have agreed to creatively come on board if we DOUBLE OUR BUDGET!

How exactly will Chris and Tim be involved? First, they'll be involved in the writing process. This includes input into the storyline, character development, creature interactions and scenery. Second, and probably our favorite part, they're both going to APPEAR in the series. Yes, bring out the acting shoes for these guys, because we're going to feature them on the screen.
Pretty cool.

Damn. Now I have no reason not to back this.
is a 2d action-RPG that looks interesting. They have a [url=http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/gentlemenstudios/rain-0/posts/227415]gameplay video up; I like the look of it.

Rend, a black and white sci-fi post-apoc platformer.

Edit: I see a gameplay video hidden in the updates section...looks decent.

A film project: The Canyons, a thriller written by Bret Easton Ellis (American Psycho, Less Than Zero) and directed by Paul Schrader (screenwriter for Taxi Driver, Raging Bull).
Inner Dream is a game project that got very little support and ends in 52 hours. The first part is available free to play (linked on the Kickstarter) and I plan to try it later today (or tomorrow, because I'm dead tired). Either it's crap enough that nobody wants to pay for it or it's simply that nobody heard about it.
Rather a pricey item this (US$2,375+ ow!) but the B9Creator High Resolution 3D Printer looks to be an ultimate model-making toy...

If only I have $2675...

Man. This is a miniature wargamer's wet dream.

Anyway I added: Rend, Monster! and that model printer. Also cleaned up the list by removing old projects. Wow it looks a lot shorter now.

A couple of updates: Legends of Eisenwald are on their last day - they've reached their funding target and they're now offering stretch goals to improve the game. Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective Adventure Mysteries (which failed to reach its target) is still proceeding and David Marsh is planning an enhanced version of the 25-year-old Shadowgate adventure game too - sign up for his newsletter at Zojoi to receive more updates.

Some new projects to bankrupt yourselves over include:
Pinball Arcade: The Twilight Zone (add emulation of a classic pinball table to the Pinball Arcade game - available on most platforms)
Drakodex Laser-Cut Game Miniatures (a useful prop for tabletop RPGs and wargames - and cheaper than a 3D printer!)
Hexy the Hexapod - Low-Cost Six-Legged Open Robot (looks like a spider, but can it be programmed to spin webs and catch flies?)
TRANSCENDENT (a Lovecraftian horror film - the author looks like a spawn of Yog-Sothoth so should find this easy!)

and finally just to show how lacking most projects are in ambition...

Creating A Private Mars Colony: The Time Is Now!

To quote from their FAQ:
Isn’t this unbelievably dangerous for the Colonist? Yes. While we obviously would not venture out unless we believed it could be safely accomplished, no one should be under any illusions. This effort pushes our colonist, technology and financial ability to the absolute limit. This really is opening a new frontier - an epic, compelling, story.

They certainly can't be accused of pulling their punches...
