gandalf.nho: Edit: received today one of the few physical rewards I pledge in a KS campaign, a gamebook (of the Melorum campaign)
Been in KS overload myself - received the Arcana Agency and Maelorum gamebooks and the 500-page Traveller5 rulebook. And now Ogre backers have been given a preview of what will be coming through their letterboxes (or more likely, knocking down their front door) in a few months' time...
LOL - all you need is a tie-in with the Your World KS. Perhaps a recommendation by Ellwood himself? :)

Fancy spending $3,489 on a set of dice? Well tough luck, there was only one opening and it's taken (not by me I hasten to add). Artisan Dice have been offering Signature dice from various exotic materials and Update 28 included Signature #004 (a numbering system with ominous connotations of frequent future usage) - the Icing Drake made from Timascus (a blending of two different grades of titanium).

Whoever forked out for that is going to look darn strange in their next RPG session ("Sorry about the armed escort, they're here to protect my dice...").

Some other dice-related projects:
Fudge it! Fudge Dice Infusion (May 1)
Precision Machined Metal Dice - Floating d6 and Fudge Dice (May 6)
Fate Dice™: Dice For Your Fate & Fudge Games (May 22)
Really Rolly 4 Sided Dice (May 24)
OP updated.

Vestin: AR-K is back ! They're giving the first episode away here, so you can see what you're backing.
They're already over 10% there with 30 days left to go to acquire the remaining $90k.

To be honest - I'm backing them blind at the moment but the attention they pay to character body language alone is worthy of praise :3.
I agree with you wholeheartedly. I'm definitely going to back this too :D
Thought at first this was only about games, with this being a games forum and all xD

But since it's about all kinds of projects, I'd like to direct your attention to Wish I was here, a movie project by Zach Braff!
"Wish I Was Here" is the story of Aidan Bloom (played by me), a struggling actor, father and husband, who at 35 is still trying to find his identity; a purpose for his life. He and his wife are barely getting by financially and Aidan passes his time by fantasizing about being the great futuristic Space-Knight he'd always dreamed he'd be as a little kid.

When his ailing father can no longer afford to pay for private school for his two kids (ages 5 and 12) and the only available public school is on its last legs, Aidan reluctantly agrees to attempt to home-school them.

The result is some funny chaos, until Aidan decides to scrap the traditional academic curriculum and come up with his own. Through teaching them about life his way, Aidan gradually discovers some of the parts of himself he couldn't find.

It was written by my brother, Adam, and me last summer.
I didn't even know he had directed another movie, Garden State. Will have to watch that as well. But this sounds like a good movie and it's always good to directly support an artistic vision =)

Garden State is a really good movie. Quirky in a good way, funny and thoughtful. And the best performance of Natalie Portman up to now. I'm glad that Zach's new movie has already reached it's goal, but I will pledge nonetheless. Thanks for notifying us of this project.

Yeah, pretty much all critiques are positive and he even got a grammy for the soundtrack.
I'm happy I could bring it to your attention, will probably pledge a small amount as well :)

A new gamebook project, by the studio of the Ars Magica CRPG KS:
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/blackchickenstudios/holdfast-a-gamebook-of-dwarven-vengeance
RPG fans prepare your wallets, with two major KS projects ending on May 1st:

Artisan Dice is at $245K and new pledge levels (e.g. Drake's Horde) have been added. Another update is due soon offering more Signature Dice options. These tend to be very rare (just one available in most cases) using either burls (cancerous tree growths which give a far more variable grain) or layers of two types of wood.

The other, Dwarven Forge's Game Tiles is nearing the $1.7 million mark (34 times their goal, not bad eh?...) which has meant a host of extra pieces (you need to buy 2 sets to qualify). They offer a choice between dungeon gray and "expertly hand painted" (can't see how they manage it at such a small premium, without hordes of Chinese goblins and kobolds on call...) plus several addons. Postage for international orders is steep though.

Some new projects to consider:
Among the Sleep (May 18)
KS where a 2-year old tries to develop a horror PC game - fooled ya! It's a horror PC/Mac/Linux game where you play a 2-year old. So no combat (you have to hide instead) with puzzles and environmental interaction coming into play.
Holdfast: A Gamebook of Dwarven Vengeance (May 30)
From the (unfortunately unsuccessful) Ars Magica authors, this gamebook (available on Android/PC/Mac as well as hard/softback) promises tactical combat options and a well-developed environment.
FlashCity Stories, a Cyberpunk Flash Fiction e-Book (Jun 13)
Ten short stories for just $1 - no physical print option though.

I saw this and was intrigued. It's a Seattle based theater so it's probably not of much interest, but it's kind of a cool concept.
