I'd already pulled my money when they canceled, but I'm not really sure what to think about those comments. True or not they're in poor taste and it's not the place for them.

But, I do think that the project ultimately should have provided a lot more detail and reason to support them other than just the names and some endorsements.

Not sure if I'll support Grimoire though, it's flexible payment which means that it's expensive and the money goes to the project whether or not it makes the goal. And I would like to have some supporting evidence as to why he's not a crank making up stories to damage an opposing project.

I refuse to buy Sunskis on those grounds, so I think I should maintain that policy into the future.

lowyhong: Anybody want to post a thread on Distance? I feel awkward seeing so many threads started by me on the first few pages.
That looks interesting. Kind of looks like an update to skyroads, but with a ton of other stuff added on to that. It looks like a game that I would love to own some day.

Once again, looks like one man is better than five hundred pretenders. I like the odds. Obviously one of us is seriously outnumbered. They're going to have to hire more guys.

And paranoia too. C'mon, live and let live, dude! I can't understand this persistence :( Not a good way to live.
Two new RPG projects:

FORCED - a co-op ARPG

Beasts & Blades - an epic 3D Turn based RPG adventure game! - this one has a early PC beta working version, looks interesting, but they need more digital only-tiers (only $5 to get the game?)

Maelorum has lowered its prices significantly. I liked the idea before, but didn't feel that an e-book version was worth $25. At $10 it's a lot more appealing.

I think that $5 is fine, and it's amazing to be able to pay $15 for a physical copy shipped internationally. I agree though that a digital artbook is missing from the rewards.

For a epic RPG with multiplayer and all, $5 looks like the author is underestimating his own game. In similar projects, normally the minimum value to get the game is $10-15
Star Trek : Renegades is now offering an All-digital tier.
Graphic Novels

- The Wardenclyffe Horror - ends Nov. 15
A graphic novel of Lovecraftian horror at the dawn of the 20th century, featuring Nikola Tesla and Mark Twain.
Check out the preview pages, it's black & white and will get spot color but only if they make a quite high stretch goal.

- Home of the Brave: Struggle & triumph in a broken America - ends Nov. 10
What if the smartest person on Earth was born into poverty & slavery? Meet Aria Monfort, from the world's poorest nation: America
It's quite different from your typical Comic/ Graphic Novel. They have a PDF preview - check it out to see what I mean by "different".
How about an Indiegogo to fund an adventure game... convention:

AdventureX 2012
AdventureX is an event for adventure game fans to meet others, commercial developers and indie game designers in London, on Sat 15th Dec and Sun 16th Dec 2012.

The first one of these was a year ago, and while it was no E3, they had some pretty cool guests, like Chris Jones (no, the other one, who created AGS) and Chris Bateman talking about Discworld Noir (the project video is from that event).

This time there's Dave Gilbert showing off Primordia, Stephen Marley (he wrote Dreamweb, that game You might know 'cause it's free now), Infamous Quests with Quest for Infamy, among others, and possibly Charles Cecil. They'll be giving away some games and swag, and if You can't go, they'll be streaming, newslettering etc.

Edit: GOG fixed post editing! \o/

It's possible, but I don't think it's inherently wrong to set a low price, especially if the goal is low. A lower price brings more pledges, and that can be good for the health of the project. Frankly I always feel that indies setting the price at $15 or more are overcharging, because most Kickstarters from big names price their games at $15.

I pledged to several $3-$5 games, and they did well enough. In fact, all of them passed the $12,500 goal of Beasts & Blades. It's not a bad way to get the job done.

Hey, thanks. That's amazing to have again. How a seemingly obvious feature can have such a tremendous effect...

Some fantasy books:

The Silver Token - a urban fantasy with dragons disguised as humans and sorcerers

School for Adventurers: A High Fantasy High School Novel - the Coles (from Hero-U KS) backed this one

Both have digital-only tiers.
