Bryan Wiegele, who had no success with his Delaware St. John Kickstarter, has a new project, The Red Queen of Oz - Graphic Novel Project. Looks interesting, although it's been running so far for 20 days with few people apparently hearing about it (I only now found about it), and so far it's trending towards another fail.

Honestly it just seems like these oz and Alice "dark" remakes are getting tiresome for people.
By the way, a while ago Expeditions: Conquistador posted a fairly lengthy video of character/party creation, dialog, worldmap gameplay, etc,. if anyone wants to see what the non-combat gameplay will be like: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aJl_GRVVod0&feature=player_embedded
Hm, $ 8000 left and 7 days to go for Conquistador. Might just work out.

Yeah, they gained a ton of backers over the last 2 days due to an RPS post. If they don't make it I'm going to be sad, but I think they probably will.

Good to hear.

Just goes to show what a good presentation and a healthy dose of media exposure can do for a hopeful Kickstarter project.

Yeah. I'm still surprised that they haven't tried to spread around that several of their guys, including the project director, are from The Nameless Mod. That'd give them some "developer cred".
Broken Sword: Serpent's Curse just surpassed the initial $400K goal. No additional goals yet.

GUTS: Rogue-like strategy mash-up. There's an alpha demo and you only have to pay $5 for a copy of the game. I'll post thoughts one I play the alpha. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/867641524/guts?ref=live

EDIT: Just played up to first death, on the third battle. Seems like it has potential. The gameplay is fairly solid, and it looks like they're going to add more heroes, which is good. On the negative side, it feels like it lacks connection. All you do is go from node to node on a map, and each node is a battle. There's no dungeon crawling, or anything outside of battles and the linear map travel. They say they're going to add story areas, but I don't think that'll really help with my issues with the format.

This one seems interesting: Season's End, a fantasy/horror graphic novel. It looks pretty interesting, but it also looks like it probably won't make its goal. Go tell your friends! http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1736520269/seasons-end-a-gothic-fantasy-tale/?ref=kicktraq

The Art of Brom: Art portfolio book thingy of dark fantasy artist Gerald Brom. The book purchase is $47, for the 208 page hardcover. In addition, all pledges of $47 or more are going to come with 4 signed prints, and if it reaches $150,000 (it's at $141,000) they'll add a fifth and a portfolio to put them in. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/596618838/the-art-of-brom
