Seaquest DSV had some great potential in the first season but it was a rapid decline after that. Still, a show perhaps a little ahead of it's time.

i agree it dropped off, but like you maybe it wold work now, something along the lines of the V reboot? i liked that.

Hmm... I didn't say what you quoted, however I do agree somewhat. The first season's exploration and wonder was definitely better than the second season's more sci-fi nature. The third season / spin-off was a different animal entirely, completely separate from the series I enjoyed. The outside influence on what the show had to be was source of its demise.
