Sure. Chezybezy's turn is up for grabs. I'll give it a few hours and if no one posts, I'll find a new show.
It's a trap.

Charmed.

When I got into watching american shows it was one of the first shows I watched. I liked it back then, but I barely watched the last season, in no small part due to her. Can't even remember the character's name but, by God, she was annoying. If I remember correctly, she had a tendency to do stupid stuff yet, somehow, the show always treated her like she was right; trying to push her as the new heroine and all.

My feelings exactly. Pretty much the fist American show for me too, along with Hercules and Xena (:)). I haven't watched all the episodes of the last season, but I watched most of them. A very bad sendoff for a show I generally enjoyed. I only watched Buffy and Angel a few years ago and I finally saw the "monster of the week" thing done right.

I caught a season of Angel when I was younger and liked it, but the very next one was the season with his son and I didn't like it as much, plus Wesley was one of my favorite characters but he turned into kind of a villain in that one. Buffy I never watched. Regarding a newer show, I used to love Supernatural when they were doing the monster of the week thing, unfortunately they moved away from the formula and I had to drop it eventually; but I still highly recommend the first couple of seasons.

I'm going to post my next one now.

You need to watch the last season of Angel. It feels pretty random at first, but it has some of the best standalone episodes of the series and the finale is amazing. Plus, Wesley finds redemption. I still watch Supernatural, with the whole angels/God arc, but I do miss the first couple of seasons.
I'll let someone else give the answer, I can't think of a show to post.

If there's good standalone stuff I might check it then. I haven't watched many american shows lately, way too many episodes.

About Supernatural, I absolutely love the funny episodes they do, they're hilarious. Other than that, the monster of the week stuff, a nice mistery, some jokes here and there and a cool fight scene at the end.

My problem with it is that, just like House, they moved way too far into angst; seems not a single episode went by without Dean getting watery-eyed and saying: "I don't know if I can trust you anymore Sam!". I don't blame them though. They're doing exactly what the fanbase wants and if I'm in the minority I have no right to demand they cater to me instead. That's why I stopped watching after the 5th season.

DaCostaBR: words
Yeah, their "meta"/comedy episodes are great. I do wish the Sam/Dean dynamic would change, though. They are still doing the "I don't know if I can trust you anymore Sam!", followed by the inevitable "I love you, bro" reconciliation. :D
It's a ridiculous thing to do in the 8th season of a show. Not to mention that the show could have ended with *MINOR SPOILER* Satan's defeat.
But whatever.

Law and Order. Second pic is from the first season, right?

Yes, it's Law and Order, and no, Paul Sorvino only entered in the second season, the first one had George Dzundza instead.
