I infact today noticed that "rate this post"-voting thing. (propably 'cos I read this post) Havent yet once used it and with this being mostly such a good forum, I hardly think that I will be pressing minuses often or even plusses.
There's (what I have seen) good and helpfull dudes with reputation in the toilet. And who knows why but it doesn't matter. I prefer to keep reading posts and join them, stars or no stars.
But not now.

I have noticed that if you negative rate a number of posts in a day your reputation will drop.
Almost as if there was an allowance on your per day voting before it effects the reputation.
On one hand I agree, it means that anyone being aggressive on negative votes will suffer reputation impact themselves, on the other hand it means that the people who happen to like partaking in voting for all the right reasons end up being penalized too...
In the end I suppose there is no such thing as perfect system…

Not really. You don't get downrated for downrating people. Possibly someone downrated you while you were also downrating people?

You can go down in rep without having a low rated post....after someone downreps you enough(even doing so a few times on several posts) you lose a point.
