Why, ObsCure is, it's so hard to find, you can't even find it on GOG anymore!
:D

bansama: Yup, Obscure is still listed in my games, it no longer has a link to the product page though.

Not only is it not linked to the product page anymore, the product page itself is gone. I tried typing the address manually (and my firefox remembered it since I'd looked at it before, so I know it's correct) and it's gone. I'm downloading all the files now, just in case.

Yeah, that's why it's not linked. I'm not sure there's a need to worry too much though. Colin McRae Rally 2005 still appears available for download and thought that was supposed to have been permanently removed ages ago.
And it makes good business sense to inform people that the game is going, not only does it play into the whole respect the customer thing that GOG has going on, its a great time to profiteer on fence sitters who think they might miss out

I know, I'm not actually all that worried. I trust GOG to inform us ahead of time if something is supposed to happen to one of the games. Still, better safe than sorry. Plus, it might mean that I pull myself together and actually try the damned game ;-)

yeah, turns out I'd not even downloaded the manual much less the wallpapers & soundtracks so it was a good reason for me to get off my arse (metaphorically) and do it

Also, I believe they always informed us in the earlier cases of games being removed from the catalogue, would be very strange to not do so now.
Strange. It's still on GG: http://www.gamersgate.com/DD-OBS/obscure
I am guessing it may have something to do with Playlogic, who seem to be in control of the series these days. But that's only a guess. I notice that Microids is still listed as the publisher on GG (while Playlogic is listed as the publisher of the sequel).
Dreamcatcher has also been removed from the list of publishers. So it would seem that they've withdrawn support from GOG.
Hm. If they've withdrawn the game then that is disappointing, and puzzling.
Awaiting official word though.

Unless that information is automatically removed when the last available game of a publisher is removed. Depends on how GOG handles the display of information like that.
Which games were listed under DreamCatcher? The only I can think of is Painkiller, but that's still here. DreamCatcher is owned by JoWooD, who are on GOG still.

Whatever the case, I'm thinking the music caused another licensing issue.

According to a quick new search, it was brought here by Micorids.

Well, that clears that up. It must have been the licensed music then.

Then maybe it's somehow connected with this.
