seems that grimwerk found the game but it doesn't fit 100% (maybe it is but just to be sure) http://www.mobygames.com/game/ecstatica-ii any similar games to this one?

*************************************************************************************

So this game is driving me crazy and I cant find it!! I saw GOGgers are really good at finding old games.

I first played this game on my pentium 166mhz, came on a magazine, those that had cd with lots of demos, pcgame I think it was , year 2000 maybe?
The game was like an adventure action game, where you control a kind of knight character in a castle, the graphic were very similar to this game
http://www.gog.com/game/return_to_krondor the game itself was pretty similar to krondor but it wasnt turn based and the character movement were like in little big adventure or kinda...

* http://i.ytimg.com/vi/YCTPtVft-O4/0.jpg (this image it's very very similar to the game or at least I remember that it was) very similar castle like scenario and perspective of the camera, characters very similar too.
*The view was fixed if I dont remember wrong and the backgrounds pre-render but I'm not very sure on this one, maybe they were in real 3d

Sorry I dont have more info.

Thanks in advance :)

This question / problem has been solved by grimwerkimage
Was it maybe Knight's Chase?
(Can't post link because of rep, sorry)
perhaps this one?
http://www.gog.com/game/die_by_the_sword_expansion
none :(

it was more action than adventure (I think) and the game started in a room (a castle room) and you had a sword

Probably not Lionheart Legacy of the Crusader.... don't think you start off inside a castle?

http://www.gog.com/game/lionheart_legacy_of_the_crusader

But a brilliant game all the same... it is also one of those rare games you can do a co-operative multiplayer campaign.
none of them sadly :( and the view was fixed if I dont remember wrong and the backgrounds pre-render but I'm not very sure on this one, maybe they were in real 3d
BTW Siege of Avalon looks very good, wish it was here on gog

you know what I think that's the game!!!
I will leave the thread unsolved for a little longer because I'm not 100% sure if it was or not but it seems it is, maybe there is a game very similar to this one...
But the characters were like that (like rounded and segmented) and the movement of the characters are the same, but the game itself as the environment doesn't fit a 100% but maybe my memory is not that good :P
Hmmmm, was it maybe Deathtrap Dungeon or Blade of Darkness?

http://www.mobygames.com/game/windows/ian-livingstones-deathtrap-dungeon

In Blade of Darkness you could choose from different characters and one of them was a knight, some of the screenshots on the page show him.

Leave it open as long as you wish, I'm just happy to be helpful on occasion.

I remember the game being quite tough, but I'll always remember it as the ellipsoid world was so unique. I may even have the CD around somewheres, still.
nope, not blade of darkness still an awesome game and one of my favorite from all times
