Hmm, I want to fly starfighters so I would join either the Rebel Alliance, Confed or a Robin Hood hearted pirateclan. =P

I wouldn't join a military even if it was fictional.

EDIT: Well, I might consider joining the Psychonauts under Coach Oleander if I had what it takes, but I guess he's the only one thinking they're some kind of military. ;)

Since I was conscientious objector as well I have difficulties finding an appropriate army for my peculiar tastes.

But since I hate dying and most grunt soldiers have a habit of doing so I rather play safe and become a soldier in the fictional, invincible army bearing the ark of the convenant.

Magnitus: Is there a fictional military where wars are fought via proxy with remotely operated robots and nobody dies? Then, maybe that one as a remote pilot. Otherwise, forget it.
I think they had an army like that in the movie "Surrogates".

Ya'll need to pick up a book sometime. Try these military forces: David Drake - HAMMER's SLAMMERS (tank division) and David Weber - Royal Manticoran Navy (under Honor Harrington).
