Or it could be Leather Godesses of Phobos or even Spellcasting 101,201 and 301 (seriously why are these not here?)

Spellcasting was interesting, But think the rights to the game might be difficult to negotiate as Legend no longer really exist, the rights might now belong to Atari
Could "booby traps" be an anagram for something else?

Party boobs?
Stop by boar?
Bra bop toys?

Strijkbout: Hmm, knowing a little about GOG's way of thinking I would say it refers to Tomb Raider. :P
For game 500? That would be quite the let down. I'm rather hoping it's a Leisure Suit Larry bundle of some kind.
What's with all the guesses for Tomb Raider? He said no platformers.

La-rry! Lar-ry!

Judging by the enthusiasm in this thread, there are going to be a lot of people let down regardless of what's actually released.

You took the words right out of my mouth....I was just about to say the exact same thing.

Sadly, some of us don't have much excitement happening in our lives right now, so we look to GOG to tantalize us and give us a nostalgia rush/remind us of happier days. (Or maybe it's just me) Really, though, shouldn't GOG have known that there would be much enthusiasm about this? I keep thinking they need a way to channel their fans energy into something creative. (Or maybe that was tested with the "Tell us your good old game story" which might not have gone so well; I dunno.)

Anyway, the EA expansions release was a big rush for some of us (well, 13+ comments pages worth of us), so maybe we can get off on that once again.

Par for the course for this place really. Anytime GOG has a conference, has a pending announcement, whatever people get all hyped expecting whatever and then this place gets hit with angry posts and threads from some of those same people.

I'm personally am not getting my hopes up all I hope for is the 500 game is something that is not Bards Tale or gimmicky indie platformer #12069 .

Oh btw has anyone seen this message in the Cyberpunk trailer? http://media.pcgamer.com/files/2013/01/Cyberpunk-secret-message.jpg maybe that is going to be game #500..(not cyberpunk the other game that is mentioned in the message, and I know it's more then likely not going to be that but still)

I'm really excited about this #500 thing. As much as I appreciate new(er) games on GOG, I hope it'll be a long-awaited true classic realease. Something highly desired by the community, like NOLF, System Shock, Doom, Grim Fandango, KotoR, Bloodlines etc.

The boobie trap hint confuses me more than it helps, though. My first thought was Larry, but I think that's rather unlikely. Second thought was Vietcong. That would also mean Take 2 is on board, which would be awesome.

Well, let's see what happens. Presumably on Thursday we'll have enlightenment.
If tomorrow we see System Shock 1 and 2 and thursday Grim Fandango I will be surprised...but I doubt it, probably average games :(

Oh, not knocking enthusiasm, I think it's great for gog for their customer base to be involved. Just as long as that enthusiasm doesn't devolve into the inevitable bitching thread that I dread reading, once individual expectations are not met.

Sadly there really is nothing that they could do that won't result in at least someone one coming on the boards and complaining. They could announce the signing of Microsot, Lucas arts and Take 2 and release System Shock 1+2, Grim Fandango, Blood Omen, Metal Fatigue, No one lives forever 1+2 for free plus give away a lifetime supply of hookers and blow and there still will be a few dozen complaints.
