gibbeynator: Well... how about Cloud being a trap? You know, a male that could convincingly pass as a female.
forgot about that bit, still it's a bit of a stretch
I just hope that after all I've stirred up with this thread, #500 IS a big deal...to be honest, I started this thread just in case no one at GOG noticed #500 was just around the corner. Reaching 500 GOGs is a huge milestone and it should be recognized!

To be quite honest, I've thought for a bit now that the hype around this will end up leading to a big "meh" in the end. It will probably be a decent/good game, but not on the level of something amazing like people had hoped.

I would be fine with being proven wrong though.
Hmm, with many signs pointing to Microsoft coming on board, I wonder if "booby traps" refers to Microsoft's Close Combat series?
Pong, what else could it be?

In all seriousness, I hope it's one of the following:

Wing Commander: Prophecy
Neverwinter Nights 2
Sid Meier's Pirates!: Live the Life
Monkey Island franchise
System Shock 2!

What else could it be, i mean system shock 2 has over 35000+ votes!
I hope Battle Engine Aquila comes to GOG. I also hope for FF7 at some point.

Besides whats already been guessed for Booby Traps I have no idea what the 500th game will be.

Hmm, knowing a little about GOG's way of thinking I would say it refers to Tomb Raider. :P
Tomb Raider Legend maybe?
a long shot but Wizardry would sorta fit there is tons of "booby traps" in those games, hell in wizardry 4 there was a entire floor where the wall were explosive mines

It took me a while to un-see Tomb Raider with the use of "Booby Traps" until I recalled Trespasser:

That is how your health is indicated in Trespasser.

Now the game only has a few booby traps in the game but still, Jurassic Park: Trespasser had the first ever Physics engine so seeing it join GoG's library would be rather historic.
Then again the game is quite obscure, so I doubt it would make it onto GoG- Trespassers very dedicated fan base aside.

Plus it's a licensed game those are notoriously tough to get the rights to re-release since you have to deal with the the people who own the rights to the ip i.e. Dune,Blade Runner, ect, then the people who own the rights to the game and probably also have to deal with who ever currently may have the rights to produce games using the ip.

So needless to say those are quite a mess.
One of these .

ne_zavarj: One of these .
All three would be great releases but:
1. Licensed.
2. Has already been on Steam but was removed so has probably some complicated legal issues.
3. Licensed and gone from other distributors so probably extremely complicated legal issues (including licensed songs).
Steam's SiN was already altered; it seems to be quite the troubled game...

Not really. It's still being added to Sin Episodes purchase.
