So E3 is next week and with the next generation kicking into high gear we're bound to see some new announcements. What do you hope to see?

I'd like for that vaporware that is Final Fantasy Versus XIII to resurge as Final Fantasy XV, but no CG trailers, an actual gameplay demo on the showroom floor or at least extensive gameplay footage and a reasonably soon release date.

I'd also like Atlus to finally announce Persona 5, they said they're working on it but I wanna actually see it god damn it! And Atlus being Atlus it's probably going to be a current gen affair. I'll probably won't have my consoles at hand next year so, and I know this is a tall order, but could they please make it for PC this time so I can play it?

On the Western front, I think what I would most love to see is Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk, there's probably other stuff but it's not coming to me, and again, I care about gameplay not CG trailers and it's unfortunately unlikely we'll see gameplay so soon.

Also I don't give two shits about Final Fantasy Versus XIII or XV or whatever its gonna be, I hate the Fabula Nova Crystallis games, heck all future, modern times-ish Final Fantasy games in general.

Sword and Sorcery fantasy all the way for Final Fantasy.
Some sort of steam box. Even if there isn't a Valve one I expect third parties to start pushing this. I do hope Valve push out some kind of standard so the market isn't detroyed by fragmentation.
-Final Fantasy XIII Versus (and hoping that Type-0 will actually get localized).
-Bravely Default (news or at least a date of release besides it's vague 2014 TBA release).
-Deep Down (whatever it's going to be) seems interesting.
-See what kind of exclusives are going to be available on the Xbox One (15 first and third party with 8 new IPs...supposedly).
-Witcher 3, I liked the previous games so I'll be waiting to see if it's at E3.
-Nintendo stuff? Whatever they have over at E3 I guess.

That's all for the most part. Although to be honest I haven't watched E3 except snips of it for the past two years.

I'm answering what I'd hope to see, not what I expect to see

That some company has rescued Star Wars 1313. Still so sad about that one.
South Park Stick of Truth and Watch Dogs from Ubisoft, even though the PC versions will probably be tied to Uplay. Also The Last Guardian, again, and whatever Retro Studios is doing. And The Witcher 3 of course.
Mirror's Edge 2 :P

A wankfest where various parts of the industry perform fellatio on one another.

<Smark mode off>

Just hoping for some interesting indie titles to pop up of nowhere that I haven't heard of before... or some information on Watch Dogs would be nice.. *shrug*
Xbox One games
PS4 games
Watch Dogs
Battlefield 4
Arkham Origins
Dawngate
Dragon Age III
Witcher 3

Might and Magic X legacy, considering that they (Ubisoft) really haven't had any significant update since this project was announced.

Didn't they say that was just a tech demo and not a game? After all, I don't see why they'd make another medieval style game like that when they want to make a franchise out of Dragon's Dogma, unless of course it turns out to be the Dragon's Dogma sequel.

As for Final Fantasy, I like modern city settings and they seemed to be trying for that instead of sci-fi. Although I admit that gameplay wise Xenoblade seems to have beaten them to punch to what they wanted to do
Witcher 3
*shrug* Not much point in waiting for E3 for game announcements, the event's lost most of its purpose these days.
I'm looking forward to seeing Telltale Games' The Wolf Among Us and their DLC for Season 1 of the Walking Dead. I would also like to see Daedalic Entertainment show off some footage from Goodbye Deponia. For me personally, no year beats 2009 for E3, when Tales of Monkey Island and the special edition of The Secret of Monkey Island were announced, I jumped out of my seat, best surprise ever! Such a shame LucasArts is dead :( I really wish that maybe Disney could make an announcement for collaborating with GOG to rerelease their old classics, or maybe more HD remakes/further sequels, that would be a dream come true. Obviously I don't expect that to happen, but it would be awesome. Still, Disney did renew the license for Maniac Mansion recently, so you never know...
(As you can tell, I like adventure games :p )
I'm waiting for PS4 and Xbox One presentations and Witcher 3 gameplay footage which we'll likely to see during one or both Sony's and Microsoft's conferences. Regarding other games I hope to see more of Deep Down, which is probably nothing more than another Dragon's Dogma game, but certainly looks cool (that is if previously shown trailer had some bits of an actual game in it), I'd like to see more of the new tech for future Square titles in action, possibly in real time. Hopefully The Last Guardian will finally get a release date and Microsoft will show us exclusive titles they're cooking that supposedly will change our outlook about the future of their new console.

I highly doubt we'll see Cyberpunk 2077 at this year's E3 though. They might wan't to share some news about the progress of the project, but we certainly won't get to see any assets in motion.
