This is easy. Silent Hill. That game singlehandedly started my all-consuming desire to play every horror game ever.

Wow how random I remember these - an odd, Rayam like floating body parts character ya? But more sword and sorc and not so much kiddie, but still sorta kinda kiddie.

The PSX version of Doom was also pretty good.

Though I have decades old hatred for the company, I did recieve a PS1 as a gift and don't look down on a good game even if it's on a platform I don't like.
