excalibunny: Apparently a lot of you have never owned a bad game. The irony is some of your picks are laughably bad and hyperbolic. Burnout Paradise and Doom 3? Sure they have there problems but I can't imagine anyone considering them actually BAD.
Thread is called 'worst games you own.' And I don't buy bad games :-P

Yes, and I actually find all those features to be very cool. However, the difficulty cure is so horrendous that I never even got the chance to learn to play this game properly before hitting a brick wall of continuous defeat. I would probably love it if there was actually an easy campaign that would ease me into the entire thing, or if easy setting worked. The way it is, I can't get past certain points in that game and I really grew to hate it over the years of trying to play the bloody thing again and again - it just seems that for every good design decision, they did two bad ones which makes the game harder for me to play.

edit: I get angry at the time lost playing the darn thing even while typing it. Argh.

I was purchased for me on my fifth birthday. Was like a loss of innocence.

I can understand that. It took me many hours to finally get into Soldiers: Heroes of WW2, and I understand that MoW has some problems. With AI, with interface, etc.

But also, Soldiers and later games were the first where you could manually control every soldier and directly aim and fire during missions (something that is really fun when controlling a tank or a sniper).

And then Tales of Valor came out, and acted like they invented this feature .

But yeah, these games have steep learning curve, and some of them aren't as good as others (Vietnam and Condemend Heroes suck, because of missions design)

You really have never bought or had purchased for you a bad game?

I probably have, but Men of War just stands out. I personally consider it the worst game I own, and it's probably the only game in history that I genuinely hate - I'm not usually one to bring real-life emotions into my gaming hobby, but there they are.

I can actually take a lot of punishment from a videogame. But the very reason why I prefer CoH to MoW is the very simple reason that CoH's got a reasonable AI and that it doesn't require nearly as much micromanagement. Which, in turn, leads to it actually being fun for a change. Playing MoW just felt like a chore.

Screw you. I know several people who love adventure games but hate The Longest Journey for several reasons, including the cliché scenario and absurd riddles.
After such a wonderful game like Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe they came out with a crappy SWOTL over Normandy I believe it was. Such a letdown. Still hoping GOG will get LucasArts games :).
Front Mission on the DS.

it's soooooooo bland. the graphics, the music, even the combat. I remember being such a drag to play.

that was probably around 2 years ago though. I might give it another try some day.
The 3 worst games I have:
Lucid
Ironclads series
SpaceChem
Dawn of magic
Operation thunderstorm

benderz: Ironclads series
I was considering putting that on the list as well, but it felt a bit unfair, after all, it is a very niche series, and I'm just not part of the target audience. And it does seem like there is an audience for the series that enjoys it:

Probably Sherlock Holmes Mystery of the Mummy. It gets me motion sick as well as being really bad.
