I just got a Dsi XL for my birthday a few days ago (I already have a 3DS but the screen size was my main selling point. It made games like Chrono Trigger with its small ass text all that much more enjoyable) & now I'm thinking about buying some DSiware games. Problem is that the store has tons of games with no rating system in effect (like PSN & Xbox Live do for example) so I have no idea as to what is actually any good. Care to help me out?

Cave Story is a great indie platformer.

Aidenz: Cave Story is a great indie platformer.
I've got it for free on PC (legally at that).

I've heard that it is rather good. What exactly is it like?

I haven't actually played it but, "Game play is reminiscent of Metroid series, with dancing! As you progress through the stages you will learn new dance techniques to transform Shantae into various animal and mer incarnations, each new form granting Shantae a new ability to overcome some obstacle on a stage, or to reach a previously inaccessible part of a stage."
The Art.Style series is supposedly very good. I only have experience with Art.Style PiCoPiCt, and that game was indeed excellent.

Zenonia is also very good, think Secret of Mana-style RPG.

You have my attention... is it actually like Secret of Mana or just one of those dungeon crawler games?

I haven't actually played Secret of Mana, so I can't say much about how similar the are. But here's a review for the DSi version, and here's one for the iPhone version.

Thanks for that. This looks like it could be an awesome game... actually one of the main the kinds of games that I am looking for actually.
If you haven't played it too many times yet, Dragon's Lair is available on DSiware.
