What annoys me the most (out of many things) is the tendency to make bad games out of good movies and making horrible movies about good games.
So what annoys the rest of you guys??

1) DRM
2) Games released too soon that need tons of patching.
3) DRM
4) Games in need of patching that just don't receive it.
5) As noted by TapeWorm, the whining about not getting revenue from second hand sales, as if games should somehow be treated differently than any other commodity with regards to reselling.
6) DRM
7) Being considered a pirate or uninformed if you complain about the stupidity of DRM (I'm looking at you, John Ricitiello)

EA annoys me a lot because they effectively killed off Origin (who here remembers Ultima???), they are in the process of slowly butchering Bioware (compare their recent games vs. the ones before the acquisition...).
The severe lack of anything original (with the exception of The Witcher ) to grace our monitors. We can only have so many damn Halos and Unreals...
Gameplay mechanics that are touted as "new" or "original" that actually detract from the said gameplay to the point that makes a person want to pull all of their hair out on an individual strand basis.
The unmitigated greed of Epic Megames as cited by a few of you. When I read that article I had a genuine WTF?!?!? moment.
I'm sure I could think of more....

So would you pirate a game like The Witcher since it does have DRM in the form of TAGES? Even though all TAGES is (in my opinion) nothing more than a glorified disc check? Just asking not condemning, mind you.

Well the gaming industry has turned into something like movie industry. Big companies only to produce for mainstream audience, games dumbed down to be played by everybody so they can make lots of money. Big companies care only of profits nothing else, thus the state of shitty games we have today.

Kind of makes you want to return to the glory days of "For Gamers By Gamers" eh?

I am annoyed by quite a few things in the industry, lemme make a list;
-DRM that is intrusive and doesn't come off your disc
-Limited installs on any of my games
-Crappy games that are remade year after year while true classics like heretic and hexen are ignored.
-The pure amount of crap that comes out each year while fewer and fewer good games are made
-The game industry is treated as cash first and art second, they got it backwords
-Dieing genres like fast paced shooters and not these cinematic peices of crap like CoD 4
-Movie games
