Hmm, I'd suggest freespace 2, far cry, cannon fodder, messiah, IL2 1946 & maybe jagged alliance 2 or fallout tactics if you're in a tactical mood
I can't honestly recomment duke 3d or any of the apogee games on account of how lame they are but if you're after shooters you could do worse

Seriously, as games go, Sacrifice is completely unique, and a work of art. It's difficult as hell too, but it makes you want to keep trying. I highly recommend it.
