Anybody else experienced this?

I don't get it, how is it a bad thing?

Might be because of bots spamming? Like, bots buying a bunch of bundles for $0.25 dollars or something trying to bring the minimum down.

The funny thing is I was buying the weekly sale, which doesn't have an average to beat just a flat price for the extra games.
Are other people going online with the same IP as you?

Also, how many bundles did you buy during the past week?

Bots aren't trying to bring the minimum down, it wouldn't make sense economically. They are just stocking up on steam keys to subsequently sell or hand out as customer incentives on third-party sites.

There were a couple of times when the weekly sale page acted up funny for me: clicking on the purchase method just cleared all my input and went back to the top of the page. I didn't get any messages but I couldn't make the purchase either.

If you're on a dynamic IP, change it and try again - it's possible that your current one is sort of black listed.
It happened to me yesterday.. But I thought it was because I was trying to see how bitcoins work..
Since I don't want to start a Humble Bundle thread of my own, I'll hijack this thread for awhile:

Is there any known time limit for reserving and validating the 3rd party keys from Humble Bundles?

I am specifically talking about the Humble Origin Bundle, I bought it back then, but haven't been arsed to go reserve nor validate either the Steam or EA Origin keys from it, but will do it later.

Should I at least reserve the keys, even if I don't use them yet on either Steam or Origin? Which is more future-proof, reserve the keys but not validate them (ie. just keep the keys around for now), or not reserving the keys through Humble Bundle, until you are actually going to use (validate) them?

I got the Bastion key and activated it just a short while ago, 6 months after I bought it. So no need to worry about the EA bundle.

It has nothing to do about Humble. You need to find out if Steam or Origin keys have a time limit.

AFAIK, Steam keys do not expire, but I have not heard anything about whether Origin keys expire or not.

Small correction, it depends on how Humble gets their keys.
If they ask steam (or developers) for a list of keys, get a list of 1000000 keys, which they then distribute when asked, the keys are created when the bundle is created.
If they use a keygen to create the keys when asked, the keys get created when you ask to show the keys (department of redundancy department).
Assume the keys are valid for 2 years (example). In the first case, they last for 2 years since the bundle went live, in the second case the keys last for 2 years from the time you asked for them, so if you ask them 2 years after the bundle, the keys can be used up to 4 years after the bundle went live, while steam still provides the same TTL for keys.

Off course, if the keys do expire then it does depend on the time when they have been generated. However, I am not sure whether Steam keys expire at all (in case then this is a moot point). I did a quick search, and it seems that they do not, but I am not 100% sure still.

For Origin, there is the 2 years rumor, but this seems to be linked to the 2 years idle when EA can then close down an origin account (to remove spam accounts, accounts with games will not be closed), there is nothing specific mentioned anywhere what, if any, kind of expiration there is on their keys. I must say, this is pone aspect gog now does better, as we know which keys expire and which do not.

Bottom line is, though - I do not see any reason to not activate the keys in the first place, why wait around with them? It seems to create a lot of hassle for no good reason?

There are two steps:

1. Fetching new Steam or Origin keys through the Humble Bundle frontend (unless they are already generated for me when I purchase the bundle? Then I don't know why in Humble Bundles you need to "retrieve" the keys separately, if certain keys are already assigned to you upon purchase? Why not just list those keys, without "fetching" them?)

2. Activating those fetched keys in the Steam or Origin.

I presume step 1 still involves Humble, right? After all, I am doing it through their pages.

For point 2 you are right, after getting the key it depends on Steam or Origin. My question was not restricted only to Humble, but that is there also possible expiration for Steam or Origin keys, if you have finished step 1 only?

And I am more interested about Origin specifically, as I have much less experience with them. That is: should I hurry up fetching my Origin keys (through Humble Bundle pages), and activating them (on the Origin client)?

As for "why wouldn't you fetch and activate the games right away?": in my case mainly laziness. I don't have currently any Origin client installed on any PC, and whenever I remember "Oh yeah I could go fetch and activate at least the Steam keys", I happen to be at work (like right now) where I don't seem to be able to connect to Steam servers, due to firewall or proxy.

It is not that different question as "Why aren't you instantly downloading all your GOG games the same day you purchase them from GOG?". Some do, some don't, beside the point anyway.

So my question was: can I just forget about it for now? No reason to give it a second thought, as long as Humble Bundle webpages, and Steam/Origin are around? I'll get the keys when I finally decide to try some of the Humble Origin Bundle games?

On this account - I have no idea. I have not been able before to find out if Origin keys expire or not. Steam keys seems to never expire.

For the rest - I was under the impression that Humble generates the keys on request, so if you do not click the button no key will be assigned to you. However, this do not solve anything, because, as JMich pointed out, the pool which the keys are drawn from may have been previously generated and added to Humbles database at the start of the bundle. There is a difference between getting assigned a key and getting a key generated for you....

If it was me, I would just activate all the keys when I can, then there is no problem, even though I may never use that service for that game at all. It is a backup, and then no need to worry.
