Seriously, how many actual Good AAA titles came out this year? Better yet, how many actual Good AAA new IP titles came out this year?

They should have renamed it to 2012: Year of the backlog

In all seriousness though, yes there was a lot of negativity and elitism from the publishers and developers, is it me or have many publishers and developers this year went completely over their heads?

Hey man Far Cry 3 was the best AAA game of this year and that was made by Ubisoft.

Well FarCry "3" is not exactly a new IP ;)

Personally as far as "new IPs" goes I would say Dishonored.

Gersen: Well FarCry "3" is not exactly a new IP ;)

Personally as far as "new IPs" goes I would say Dishonored.
To be honest, FC3 would have been better as a new IP. It really has very little to do with Far Cry and has the quality to have stood on its own with another name.
