After a terribly hectic week at E3 during which our lovely beachside hotel decided that wifi reception should be considered a holy grail of sorts, we've finally launched the press beta. If you're in, then you received a beta key and all is well... keys should be making their way to more journos in the next few days, so things should pick up soon. Not that you crazy editorial types are that likely to go forum-happy.
We're really looking for a lot of feedback during the beta -- we trust all of your opinions (if we didn't care, you wouldn't have been invited) and want to make sure the site is as good as can be. Toy around with the site in every possible way and let us know what you think.

Thanks Tom!
One observation right off the bat - you may want to indicate that the site is case sensitive for redemption codes.. I know this may not be a factor moving past the beta and any coupon redemption but it tripped me up the first time.. also you might want to add that the special characters - in this case the "-" key is also required.
I'm in process of downloading Fallout now.. since my disk copy won't run under Windows XP, I'm anxious to see this service work some magic for me:)

Thank you Tom and thank you Adam for letting me in.
Checking things out.
Access was a bit late as I asked too many difficult questions apparently.

Howdy!
It's looking very nice indeed - loving the simplistic layout and the smoothness of the whole thing. Am just browsing through the games section now trying to choose my games ^^.

EDIT: Although, if I may say, the list of forums isnt very appealing; personally I would have preferred a normal forum layout, rather than a list of forums like it is now. Still, it's useable, just seems that if you're going to have a forum for every game it could get rather confusing quite quickly.

This site has the potential to be the best thing to happen to PC gaming for years. I hope it's a success and wish the GOG team all the best.
Finally got around to signing up. Now for some spelunking of the site.
Hi there, just signed up - what a great site - it's all running very smoothly for a beta, and the simple interface (and filters for games) really responsive and logical -well done web designers!. I'm sure there will be many threads about particular favourite games people would want on here soon enough, so I'm not going to get into that, but I was wondering, will there be any 'bundles' coming in the future (such as all 3 fallout games for $15) or are you going to stick to individual titles? I always find I am lured in by bundles, although with the pricing on single titles, I'm sure I will be lured in anyway!
Hallo all,
I would like to thank you for this awesome website and I hope that it continues to grow :)
Hurray for old games returning...
yay!
I'd like to drop by to say hi to everybody and thanks for this opportunity you give us :)
My sincere respect to the GOG-team.

You can already find 'bundles' in our catalogue - Descent+Descent 2, Descent 3 + expansion, Die By The Sword + expansion, Freespace + expansion, M.A.X. + M.A.X. 2 with Redneck Rampage Collection arriving shortly and more coming in the future.
Not to mention that you can download bonus content with every purchase (wallpapers, avatars, game guides, soundtracks etc.) which I think is a pretty good deal as well. =)

As noted, we will have more bundles added... and we'll also work on a bunch of promotions that would be similar. Lots of stuff planned for the future, but for now we're focused on making sure that the site works as it is :)
It's good to be here.
Keep up the great work, GoG team. :)
