Alan Wake, Legend of Grimrock, Trine, Chronicles of Riddick, and more 50% off

Winter draws near. The wind plays with the few remaining autumn leaves, the days grow short, the air gets colder and colder--well, at least that's how it is in central Europe. Faces against the chilling wind, we look to the North, the cradle of the [url=http://www.gog.com/en/promo/nordic_developers_games_weekend_promo_26_10_12/]Viking Games. Let's look at some titles coming from the developers whose ancestors sailed the raging seas in their mighty drakkars.

Alan Wake Part survival horror, part detective novel, part action, and part adventure--a must-have for fans of exciting thrillers and sublime story-telling. When the wife of the best-selling writer Alan Wake disappears on their vacation, his search turns up pages from a thriller he doesn’t even remember writing. A Dark Presence stalks the small town of Bright Falls, pushing Wake to the brink of sanity in his fight to unravel the mystery and save his love.

Legend of GrimrockPure-blooded dungeon crawling game with grid-based movement and thousands of squares, riddled with hidden switches, pressure plates, sliding walls, floating crystals, forgotten altars, trapdoors, and more. The game sports tile-based movement combined with real-time combat. You control a party of four prisoners, either using the pre-made adventurers or by carefully creating your own desperate crew.

is a physics-based action game where three characters combine their powers to devise clever solutions to challenges created by hazardous puzzles and threatening enemies. The gameplay is based on fully interactive physics where each character's different abilities and tactics can be used to invent new ways to overcome obstacles and save the kingdom! With enchanting visuals, beautiful music, and stunning attention to detail throughout the entire adventure, [url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/trine]Trine is a real treat for puzzle and platformer fans alike!

Riddick time! Was sitting for a sale on it and BAM, time to open up my wallet.

Gazoinks: Ooh, Grimrock. Lesee... I have $2 of spending money in my bank account. I have $6 cash. Well, I guess I'll deposit the $6 and hope my bank let's me access it before the promo ends. >.> If it doesn't I'll probably end up getting the new Killing Floor weapon pack.
Don't support what Tripwire is doing by getting the weapon pack. That is something they said they would never do, and now they are.

Gameplay-affecting DLC? Ew, nasty!
Thanks, was waiting for a cheap opportunity to buy TLJ and Dreamfall, that's my weekend sorted!
Yes, Trine is on sale again! I missed getting it on sale during the Battle of the Games voting sale because of that freak storm that hit the Eastern U.S. this Summer and utterly destroyed the power. Our area was without power for 4 days straight and I couldn't get online to get Trine, needless to say I was not happy.
Must resist urge to buy the Ground Control games! I've bought so many RTSs over the past few weeks, I haven't even played them all! But those games look good, and I much adore sci-fi themes. Dammet!
Great promo thanks! thought to buy Alan Wake a few weeks ago , and did now!...plus all games released in my language :)
This is have for my been one of the most interesting promos here, while it is great to get rebates on the Huge titles, it is even better to get 50 % of gems you did not knew exist :D

Make it happen :-)
I might grab Alan Wake : American Nightmare if the promo is still on Tuesday
Is Alan Wake any good? Looking for blunt reviews of what to expect, as well as comparisons to spiritual "cousins" or games that came before it that the gameplay/mood is comparable to.

Over-the-shoulder 3rd-person shooter with elements similar to those in the Alone in the Dark 2008 reboot. You use the flashlight (or other light-based weapons) to weaken enemies so you can hurt them. You also can collect these script pages (you are a writer after all) that can help piece more of the story together or sum up what's happening.

I thoroughly enjoyed the storytelling and gameplay for it. The shooting mechanics in this are far better than those found in the Alone in the Dark game I mentioned. I liked the acting in the cutscenes, the music was really good (especially anything by the Old Gods of Asgard), and the voice acting was well-done IMO. Worth a look if you ask me.
That VO guy really rubs me the wrong way, he has that vaudevillian 50's style of announcing and it's just a turnoff for me. Great games on sale though, A.Wake is awesome :)

What Garugo said, just bear in mind that the game is linear. Most of the time you run along a single track with every side path being a dead-end with a secret.
I wish Red Seeds Profile hit PC, dammit.

I'll backup Garugo's, Pikkari's and grviper's comments on Alan Wake, I played through the Xbox 360 version and liked it alot better than I thought I would.
The game only really has a few different enemies, but surprisingly they don't really get old or repetitive because of their AI and the ways the game throws them at you. The graphics are quite good and the lighting effects in particular are amazing, I was also pretty impressed at just how good of a job Remedy did making that area look like the real Pacific Northwest region of the US. (I lived there myself briefly) If you take your time trying to find all the secrets and such the game is alot longer than the reviews let on.
If you don't have any version of it and you've got the PC to run it then get Alan Wake. I can't speak for American Nightmare though as I haven't played it.
