Get Thief, Tomb Raider, Deus Ex, Soul Reaver, and more Square Enix titles 50% off!

If you read the tagline, what more is there really to add? Our [url=http://www.gog.com/promo/square_enix_weekend_promo_080213]Ultimate Square Enix promo offers you the chance to get games from some of the most exciting series with a nice 50% off discount. Square Enix catalog features some of the most impressive gems in the GOG.com offer. Titles that evoke memories and emotions in thousands and thousands of gamers. The character cast of the Square Enix stable alone is impressive enough to make one's heart race. If GOG.com had a red carpet, celebrities such as Lara Croft, Garret the Master Thief, Agent 47, Kain and Raziel, and JC Denton would arrive to walk it on a limousine marked by Square Enix logo. Let's take a quick look at the featured games, shall we?

Lara Croft is the ever-shining star of the Tomb Raider series. Lately her character has undergone some major changes. Here, we give you a chance to spend some quality time with good--erm--classic Lara. Tomb Raider 1+2+3, Tomb Raider: Last Revelation + Chronicles, and Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness sum up all of the miss Croft's early career, for only $4.99 each!

Yet another hero who is a fan of property re-assignment concept, Garret the Thief is now preparing a big return. On GOG.com you can catch up wit all of his adventures, as long as you can keep up with him, as he silently moves through the shadows. Thief Gold, Thief 2: The Metal Age, and Thief 3: The Deadly Shadows let you experience the life of a thievery archmaster, for only $4.99 each!

Also preferring to keep a low-profile, Agent 47 is the main character of the Hitman series. The newest game featuring the bald assassin brought a lot of new ideas to the table, and not all of them met with gamers' appreciation. We give you first two classic Hitman games: Hitman: Codename 47 for only $2.99 and Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, for only $4.99!

That's only a small taste of the Square Enix title you can get 50% off this weekend. Head out to our Ultimate Square Enix promo page, to check out the whole offer!

Below, you'll find a new episode of This Week on GOG, a short video guide to recent events, promos, and other happenings on the site. By the way, if you haven't already, you might want to follow the GOG.com channel on Youtube, so you won't miss our shows, specials, and exclusive trailers.

keeveek: Lol, didn't even know it's here :-)

I am waiting for Gangsters 2 release, by the way.

jpolastre: If you're thinking of grabbing Mob Rule I suggest you take the first game in the series instead. Even flawed as it is, Constructor is a lot of fun but when I tried Mob Rule I just didn't feel the same fun.

Granted the first game is tough as hell (it's hard to even keep up with the city council demands alone, much harder if you add enemy AI) but even when I was being massacred I still had fun. I don't know if the second game is so hard because I couldn't keep playing for long - I just went back to the first game.
I have Constructor here. And it was painfully hard :-( Impossible to win for me. Is the sequel the same?

StingingVelvet: Want a bunch of these totaling around $12. Can't use my card on GOG right now though. If anyone wants a Steam game of around $12 PM me and let me know, I can gift you a Steam game in exchange for these.

I might just try asking mom to buy them though, like I am 16 god damn years old again.
If you can't find anyone else, send me a PM, even though I'm not sure if I want anything from Steam right now.
low rated
I don't own these games from the list :

Hitman: Codename 47
Hitman 2: Silent Assassin
Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness
Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation + Chronicles
Pandemonium!

I never understood where this idea that Constructor is so hard came from. I'm currently playing through all the scenarios on hard with multiple AI opponents, and while it can be a little hectic at times, I can't say I find it that hard.

What is true is that the council missions, and the demands of some of your residents can be a bit tricky, if you're not suitably prepared, but once you've played the game once or twice, that shouldn't be much of an issue.

Sorry pal, you will need someone else to answer that for you.

I wanted to vote, then realized I already did. That is perhaps the one game I would like to see on GOG the most.

To that end, let me be clear: this is, indeed, a forum where free and open discussion is encouraged and we're as inclusive as a grouping of several thousand virtual strangers can be.
....
It does not belong here as it has nothing to do with the weekly promo, but I want to say that the way I see things, freedom of speech and morally acceptable behavior should walk hand in hand.
Can it really be called a Square Enix bundle if there are no Square Enix games in it? It's all made up of stuff they got when they bought Eidos, there's nothing actually made by Square Enix in here.

Publisher bundle. They own 'em so yes.

So if I understand correctly, anybody on the forum can wish for the death of anybody without any risk of sanction ?

Ok, I'll give it a try then !

Then I do wish that Licurg suffers the most horrible death; I wish the worst for him and his family, his spawns, his friends and heck, everybody that comes near him.
I wish he could be impaled alive, his eyes burned, his corpse laying rotten on the streets of his village like a dead dog.
I whish he would simply cease to exist, because his existence is an insult !

Here you go :-)

PS: I don't know where he lives, so I can't possibly be a threat to him, can I ?
Still, I don't think these kinds of messages should be encouraged on the forum, but since you seem to have no problem with Licurg's death wishes, I thought you'd have no problem with mine toward him, am I right :p ?
PS2 : Just trying to make a point, I couldn't give a **** about Licurg and whether he dies or not, but i'm getting fed up with his automatic immature response :"Go die " instead of intelligent criticism.

I was actually a bit surprised that the forum rules are as lax as they are, but unless I just miss out on it, I rarely see people crossing the line around here regardless. However, "will you just die already" is in no way a death-threat, it barely qualifies as grieving for that matter.

That is not proving a point, that is just a rather flawed strawmen.

For starters, because enemy AI doesn't suffer the same restrictions you do. They aren't bothered by whiny tenants or the stupid council. They don't bother with money either. I don't remember 2 enemy AIs attacking each other. Therefore the only thing they care about is annoying you.

You on the other hand have to juggle the enemy AI, the council demands, tenant and worker production, house improvements, tenant demands, cash flow, workers' health... have you noticed how fast enemy workers recover from injuries?

Technically I'd say the major problem is that micromanagement is a bit extreme on that game. I could probably do a lot better by pausing every 10 seconds to check through everything I mentioned, but that would suck all the fun from the game. I do pause and micromanage, just not that often. If you manage to win under the conditions you said you either micromanage often or you must be really good at it so kudos to you. But there's no denying the game is hard
I don't usually follow these promo threads, but this all seems so very off topic.

TheEnigmaticT: Licurg does not know where you live; he lives approximately 2,580 km away (that being the distance from Bucharest to London) and is no position to actually threaten you. He doesn't know your postal address, so he can't mail anything lethal to you. Finally, he doesn't even know your real name, so finding out who you are to *do* anything dangerous to you is problematic. Even under British harassment laws, you do not have a reasonable suspicion of actual threat, here, and there's no call for legal or police proceedings. If you feel this is a legitimate death threat, then I simply cannot help you because you don't operate on the same psychological plane that I do. If you, instead, are trying to censor someone else who you don't like by appealing to the moderators of the forums here and whining about it, you're not going to have much luck with that.
I'M GONNA GET YOU, T!
I KNOW WHERE YOU LIVE, YOU CAN'T HIDE!!!

:) yep it's fun :D

Let's put it this way. You just wrote that thing. For argument's sake, assume those were some true feelings.
Do you really feel like you should be given a punishment more severe than a note that says "you made yourself look pretty silly there"?

Licurg: If there's anybody that still doesn't have Startopia, now would be a good time to get it, it's one of the most underrated games ever made.
