Get Thief, Tomb Raider, Deus Ex, Soul Reaver, and more Square Enix titles 50% off!

If you read the tagline, what more is there really to add? Our [url=http://www.gog.com/promo/square_enix_weekend_promo_080213]Ultimate Square Enix promo offers you the chance to get games from some of the most exciting series with a nice 50% off discount. Square Enix catalog features some of the most impressive gems in the GOG.com offer. Titles that evoke memories and emotions in thousands and thousands of gamers. The character cast of the Square Enix stable alone is impressive enough to make one's heart race. If GOG.com had a red carpet, celebrities such as Lara Croft, Garret the Master Thief, Agent 47, Kain and Raziel, and JC Denton would arrive to walk it on a limousine marked by Square Enix logo. Let's take a quick look at the featured games, shall we?

Lara Croft is the ever-shining star of the Tomb Raider series. Lately her character has undergone some major changes. Here, we give you a chance to spend some quality time with good--erm--classic Lara. Tomb Raider 1+2+3, Tomb Raider: Last Revelation + Chronicles, and Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness sum up all of the miss Croft's early career, for only $4.99 each!

Yet another hero who is a fan of property re-assignment concept, Garret the Thief is now preparing a big return. On GOG.com you can catch up wit all of his adventures, as long as you can keep up with him, as he silently moves through the shadows. Thief Gold, Thief 2: The Metal Age, and Thief 3: The Deadly Shadows let you experience the life of a thievery archmaster, for only $4.99 each!

Also preferring to keep a low-profile, Agent 47 is the main character of the Hitman series. The newest game featuring the bald assassin brought a lot of new ideas to the table, and not all of them met with gamers' appreciation. We give you first two classic Hitman games: Hitman: Codename 47 for only $2.99 and Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, for only $4.99!

That's only a small taste of the Square Enix title you can get 50% off this weekend. Head out to our Ultimate Square Enix promo page, to check out the whole offer!

Below, you'll find a new episode of This Week on GOG, a short video guide to recent events, promos, and other happenings on the site. By the way, if you haven't already, you might want to follow the GOG.com channel on Youtube, so you won't miss our shows, specials, and exclusive trailers.

So I bought Gangsters :-) Unfortunatelly, I couldn't buy Startopia too, but well, next time! ;-)

(edit: somebody gifted that to me!)

Regarding the Hitman games, in Hitman 2 you can switch between 1st and 3rd person view, right?

As for Hitman: Codename 47 is there any way to force 1st Person View? Because as one reviewer said: "A third-person view such as this doesn't work well in a game that requires situational awareness, stealth, and accurate aiming. "
Also, looking at that bald head the entire game must be annoying and distracting.

DCT: Nah can't be since Scumm VM doesn't suppourt Larry 7 and there is no inferior lo-res version either.. Sorry still miffed about the state of the Larry 1-6 bundle, honestly as much as I would love Larry 7 here I would still prefer to have them fix the set they already have even if it means switching the games over to dosbox or at least Larry 6 which should of been used in the first place...or at the very least leave the files for running the hi-res version of the game in their(seriously ripping out unused files is just stupid)

Sorry I'll stop.

GaminggUy45: Maybe they'll put them back in soon
I don't doubt they will(it's one thing you can say, GOG does care about their releases), honestly I wouldn't be sweating it so much if it wasn't for the fact Larry is currently owned by Codemasters who sadly have been selling off the rights to their games left and right to keep their sinking ship afloat so it's always my fear that the games are going to get pulled from sale and thus GOG probley will be unable to update it and so were going to be stuck with the inferior version of Larry 6 and I rather not have to obtain the SVGA version through less then "ideal" means.

GaminggUy45: Could Next weeks game hint be Leisure Suit Larry 7 Love for Sail
That's my guess too :-) Let's hope it's true. Probably GOG wouln't be able to acquire Polish version of that game, but well :-)
I'm wondering, do you think GOG do business with Square through their US arm or with the main comp in Japan? It sure would be great if we could get the Wizardry people, Capcom JP and Konami on GOG.

Well... that is a lot of good hints. I already used to follow several of them but I'll have to try the rest now. Thanks for the tips.

Zchinque: As for undesireables, I remember them being limited on lower difficulties
Ah now I remember that. That was one of the stupider gameplay decisions I could ever think of. It's amazing how Constructor is still a great game even with all the mistakes Acclaim made.

I think it comes from their "out of the box experience" model. For example, when they couldn't make Worms 2 multiplayer to run, they cut it off the game :P But with Worms 2 they kinda proved that it is impossible to play multiplayer with Worms 2, so I don't see a problem here.

With Larry, it seems that they cut off the files that players could use to run the game as they please. Or maybe they just didn't get those files from the publisher?
NICE!

Quick, someone loan me $70 untill payday!

Okay $17?

$12?

Fine then, can I come over to your house and play DE2 and Defiance?
Well, can I come over to your house and watch you play them?

In particular since they're not limited for the cheating AI, if memory serves.

N0x0ss: So if I understand correctly, anybody on the forum can wish for the death of anybody without any risk of sanction ?
Harassment is doing that every day; or to every single post Licurg makes. Wishing ill-will twice in three and a half months? That's not a pattern of harassment, nor is it a serious death threat. If you'd like to test it out, we can see how alarmed Licurg is.

:: reads down ::

Oh, wait. He's not. Is "I wish you were dead" something that adults say in sensible conversation? Not remotely.

But if you expect a mod to swoop in every time someone said something puerile, delete it, and then ban the user who posted the stupid thing, then the Internet as a whole would only have about 10% of the content that it actually does. Whether that would be for the betterment of society as a whole is up for debate, but that's not how we run the shop around here.

Still wondering I should buy Anachronox. I'm so on the fence about getting it
