Finally a promo where I do not feel I need to buy them all.

Think I will just pick up another copy of Settlers 2 and BI: Platinum.
My question is directed to the GOG Team. Why were Warlords of BattleCry and Prince of Persia not included with the Promo? Just curious as these also are Ubisoft Titles as well.

Too recent games. Same thing happened in the last 3 Weekend Promos (Square Enix, Activision, Atari).

This man is correct.
Finally the Might & Magic promo I've been waiting for since I joined. Will get some games from my wishlist.

Thank you, GOG!

mobutu: It'll be Windows 8
It may be Windows 8 too, but I'm almost sure that if they announce only one new OS, it will be iOS. They are going to sell Witcher 2 for Mac on GOG, and that's something that was already mentioned in the press.

It makes sense that with their first iOS game on GOG they going to announce support for iOS>
Phew this could have been a lot worse for my wallet, 2 wish listed games and another 3 for good measure and I own or don't want the rest. It's ok GOG despite our unforgiving wallets keep these promos coming we can always sell our bodies (I don't think women or men would be too interested in me so probably sell a kidney :)
Okay so, never played any of them... started RPGing in 1997... which Might and Magic should I get?

Don't say V, I'm on a laptop right now.

What are the specs of your laptop? HoMM5 is not a new game so almost any less than 1 year old laptop must be able to run it.

Since you're talking about V, it seems that mean the "Heroes of Might and Magic" series, i.e. the strategy games. In that case, HoMM3 is usually seen as the pinnacle of the series. The first two games are simpler and have less content, the fourth one was a botched release that was salvaged only partly later on.

If you're talking about the RPG's, then - if pixelated graphics don't deter you - I'd get the MM1-6 collection. The later games have better graphics, but the games from 3-6 have the core gameplay that's the hallmark of the series. Skip the first two games though, they are just of historical interest.
What's with GOG and all these awesome promos of late? At least I already own all the games I want from this one...

Yeah I meant HoMM, my bad. So 3 then?

Yep.

Some people prefer the first two games, which were simpler.

Some prefer HoMM5, which has better graphics.

Practically nobody prefers HoMM4.

But many players prefer HoMM3, and even the ones that don't, will usually agree that HoMM3 was a pretty good game.
