Two Worlds series, Earth 2100s series, Knights and Merchants, and other top Topware classics 70% off!

!This weekend, we offer you GOG's entire [url=http://www.gog.com/promo/topware_weekend_promo_070214]Topware catalog 70% off! Among all of the games it features, we'd like to put one in the spotlight the most. There are games that never get hyped much in the media and aren't considered milestones of their genre, but still success in accumulating a modding community so large and dedicated, that you could say the development of such title never really stopped. Such is the case of Knights & Merchants, a medieval real-time strategy with in-depth society simulation and epic-scaled armies. Even though the game came out in 2001, a community of talented fans doesn't stop in their effort to, fix and tweak it, make it enjoyable for the modern gamer, and support it with all the features the fanbase demands. All this goes towards a impressive mod, that we recently featured in one of our Mod Spotlight editorial. Get the game for only $1.79. check out the mod, and witness the magic of PC gaming community!

Not really fond of historical setting? Would you rather take a plunge into a fantastic realm quite different than our reality? The magical land you'll be visiting in Two Worlds: Epic Edition should easily satisfy all your escapism needs with its vast and lush gameworld, visuals that remain quite impressive even today, and a well-told story that often lets you digress from its main thread. The Epic Edition we offer you, comes bundled with the game's both expansions: Tainted Blood and Curse of Souls. Yours for only $2.99! The bigger, better, and more--erm--magical sequel, Two Worlds 2: Epic Edition, also complete with all the extensions and bundled with two great MP3 soundtracks, is also available 70% off (that's $5.99).

Two Worlds 2 intro

Fantasy not really your thing? Well, how about some hard science fiction, then? Earth 2140 Trillogy, Earth 2150 Trillogy, Earth 2160--or the Earth 21-something series, as we like to call it--offer top-notch RTS gameplay in a gritty futuristic setting, at $1.79 each!

Of course, that's not all of the excellent titles you can find 70% off in our Totally Topware promo this weekend, so head out to the promo page and pick your favorites. The offer lasts until Tuesday, February 11, at 4:59AM GMT.

Schnuff: Nice promo.
Oye, only money left for one game...Dream Pinball 3D or Enclave?
Enclave, there are better pinball titles laying around.
Is Gorky strict turn based as in movements points and such?
Hmmm, nostalgia kicks in. Maybe I should grab that Knights & Merchants :)

Shaolin_sKunk: Does Earth 2140 still have broken A.I.? Might skip the series if that's the case.
We have the DOS version that has the functioning A.I. See this thread in the section "Fixed by GOG staff..." for more details:

Sweet. In the pile it goes.
Got few games on this list already and no wishlisted games at all. So nothing for me.

jamyskis: I'm so tempted to get Two Worlds 2 + expansion just to have it legitimately DRM-free, but I already have it on disc and on Steam, and the disc version can be installed and the DRM circumvented with relative ease.

Damn good price for it though.

Also, Two Worlds 1 is nowhere near as bad as people make it out to be.
First two worlds was poorly made, no doubt about that. Horse riding was clunky, a complete town left empty (yarmalin, up in the north), a rather short and uninteresting mainquest, spoken dialog didn't synchronize with the text (lot of stuttering) and the swimming skill had no use at all. And that is just a few points.
Oh, there were also some good things. Inventory was good, organized. Don't know why reality pump had messed that up in the sequel. And the stacking of the armor was also a nice thing. Also liked that at night you got shadow forms of slain enemies and thus have to battle them again. But overall two worlds was a disappointment. It got nice ideas, but poorly executed. No, it wasn't very bad or so. But it ain't great either.
Two Worlds II has things done better and is overall an improvement to the first one. It has however 2 big mistakes. The inventory as i mentioned, which is a big mess and that the biggest island in the game, eikronas, is set for multiplayer purpose and thus largely inaccessible in the singleplayer modus.

I have both games on disk. Only not the epic edition. And with TWII i don't have castle defense.
Bad news is that I own a lot of these titles already. Good news is that many of them are inferior non-GOG versions. So it's time to fill the shelf some more with bargains.

Earth 2140 Trilogy
Earth 2150 Trilogy
Earth 2160
Enclave
Jack Orlando: A Cinematic Adventure (DC)
Knights and Merchants: The Peasants Rebellion

Ta!
But, but ... I don't want to be broke, GOG senpai T_T
Earth 2140 Trilogy that supports HD resolutions and is available for both Mac and PC is on Steam and Two Worlds II has both Mac and PC versions on Steam. It would be nice to see these versions here if possible.

OK, but how does the DOS version compare otherwise, in things like graphic quality, Win 7 or 8 compatibility?

Would be nice if the game description explained the issue also. Review are contradictory.

How is the AI broken? Just curious, in case I decide to buy it.

JudasIscariot: snip
Completely unrelated question, quoted to get your attention.

I'm flirting with Jack Orlando, but I'd like to know if the two alarming things I read about both in the game forum and the reviews have been fixed:

1. Game crushes during intro.
2. Sound Problem: The music is overpowering the voices.

Have these been addressed?

Thanks ahead :-)
Can you GOG strike a deal (or finalize it, if already made) to get the HD version of Earth 2140 with ORIGINAL (aka fixed) AI?

Another excellent weekend promo, thanks GOG!
