Get Master of Orion 1-3, Alone in the Dark 1-4, KKND 1&2, and more endangered Atari classics 65% off!

Out of all gaming industry brands in existence, Atari always was one of the most recognizable and respectable. For over 40 years the name has became inseparably associated with unpretentious gaming fun. The amount of progress a single company can bring to an industry is simply astounding. From game cabinets to home consoles, from 8-bit classics to recent blockbusters, from engineering to publishing--the company was always in the center of it. It's unlikely there are many gamers who weren't saddened by the news of company's trouble. Whatever happens now, we should hope that it will emerge victorious once the dust settles, as it did numerous times before. Gaming legends are forever, so today all there's left to say is: [url=http://www.gog.com/promo/atari_weekend_promo_120713]Thank you, Atari!

The entire Atari catalog on GOG.com is available 65% off. We're talking landmark titles like Master of Orion 1+2, Alone in the Dark 1+2+3, Total Annihilation: Commander Pack, Star Controll 1+2, and , among many others. Head out to the [url=http://www.gog.com/promo/atari_weekend_promo_120713]promo page, to see the entire selection. The offer lasts until Tuesday, July 16, at 3:59AM GMT. Don't miss out!

dirtyharry50: The game you want is on sale for 10 bucks now on Steam. I'd advise picking it up there while the getting is good. I doubt we'll see that one go any lower any time soon. There is a lot of great stuff for Mac on sale currently on Steam if you do not already use it.
Wow. I do use Steam and I have no idea how I missed that. Thanks! That just made my night. :D
Get those KKND, you fools!

If you like Command & Conquer, Dune 2k and such RTS godness, grab 'em right now!!!

Thank me later. Wait, no. Better not. Thank Beam Software.

Glad to hear it! Enjoy the rides! :D
I'm grabbing Powerslide (I absolutely love late 90s 3D racing games, there's a certain charm about them I can't find in today's racing games), MoM (my friend's playing through it and it's a new type of game for me to be playing, so why not start with one of the best?) and Chronicles of Riddick (everywhere else had the stupid TAGES DRM, which I despise.)
Upon consideration, I think the most pressing game to grab out of these is Chronicles of Riddick. It's a movie licence, and there's no telling if ANYONE will bother resigning with Universal to distribute it, let alone keep it here.
anyone else reading that "Thank you Atari" as highly sarcastic?

and by highly sarcastic I mean "Fuck You Bandai-Namco" since Atari was bought in whole by them years ago.

I just thought it funny to call out a "Thank You" to a brand that has been effectively gutted, no one actually works there since all of the staff has been fired or shifted to working under Bam-co's banner, and when there games get pulled from GOG it will be at Bam-co's command.

Just like how it was Bam-co that CDP had to battle in court over the Witcher 2, but it was Atari's name on the box.
I've gotten all I need, but I REALLY hope you guys can keep the Atari titles on here. I'm pretty sure whoever gets RCT will want to keep it out there for everyone to enjoy.

de_Monteynard: Very nice promo. At least we know that the Outcast IP has already found home with the original producers and may be coming to Kickstarter some time next year.
wow really? That's friggin awesome! Always wanted to play "Outcast 2" after the first one absolutely blew my mind, sadly that game never happened.

Is Atari responsible for what's happening with the Baldur's Gate remake right now?
∩( ・ω・)∩ best of luck Atari

I think they had some sort of Gentlemen's Agreement in regards to royalties and are now squeezing Beamdog's head like a pimple.

dirtyharry50: Oh, and Moonbase Commander looks kind of cool too.
Moonbase Commander is very cool. And it still plays as well as a new game, today. I bought it in the box years ago, and then here again on GOG. Last week I started playing again, and it's just as fun and challenging as ever. The voice acting is exceptional as well. Overall, it ranks up there as one of my favorite strategy games, and I can see myself going back to replay it over and over again in the future. It is simply fantastic.
Which of these games are "must plays"?
