Tales of Monkey Island, all Sam & Max games, and more from Telltale 80% off.

For the last 8 years the talented people at the Telltale Games studio have been delivering the best point-n-click adventures, featuring many of the all-time favorite characters, to our computers' screens. Their episodic publishing formula allowed a steady flow of development and gave the devs time to carefully and lovingly polish all the fine details of their games. Each episode is a little shiny gem, priceless and unique. But here's a thing about buying jewels: you can usually only afford one at a time. So what if you want to catch up with a whole season of episodes of a Telltale adventure--an equivalent of a box full of jewels? You [url=http://www.gog.com/en/promo/telltale_weekend_promo_9_11_12/]get it 80% off on GOG.com!

The Tales of Monkey Island--starring the world famous hapless pirate, Guybrush Threepwood--offers five chapters of fantastic fun for less than $7!

Back to the Future: The Game offers you a glimpse into the adventures of Marty McFly and Doc Brown, that took place after (or before--time travel is tricky) the movie storyline. Get it for less than $5!

Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures features the very British pair of comedians, that starred in many critically acclaimed movies (well, stop-motion claynimations, actually). The entire season of four episodes can be yours for less than $4!

And last, but not in any way the least: Sam and Max, the freelance sleuth duo consisting of a dog in a trenchcoat and notoriously naked white rabbit, are well known to any adventure fan. Now you can get the entire collection of their adventures--all sixteen episodes produced by Telltale spanning over three seasons: Sam & Max Save the World, Sam & Max: Beyond Time and Space, and Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse--for less than $20!

The GOG.com point-n-click all you can eat buffet is now open, so you can finally satisfy your hunger for great Telltale adventures, 80% off! The promo will last until Tuesday, November 13, at 4:59AM GMT.

And in case you missed it, here's what's new... I mean: here's the new episode of our weekly show:
Wow, this was a nice deal for me :) Already had the Sam and Max games from an earlier Steam sale but none of the rest. Had been eyeing some of these for a good while or on the fence about some, but this drop in price breaks one of the barriers in my decision making.

Vorax: I totally just voted for all of them. Although I already have Hector on Steam/Desura, it's hilarious.
Hector is an underrated gem. I'd love to see more from the team behind that one.
Monkey Island is tempting. I've played 1, 2, and 3, but not 4. I have three days to decide... ah... my wallet. Then, there's the Interplay bundle. Fudgeacles.
Wallace and Gromit might be worth the 4 bucks, and it's the only way to get that game DRM free. The DVD didn't even use a disc-check, it just used the same installers that were tied to your account, and you had to activate it every time you install it on a new machine.
Broke down and bought them all. Too hard to resist at this price. :)
Gotta love them adventure games. =P

Monkey Island and the other Sam and Max.
Very nice deal! I'd be all over this if I didn't already own them from TellTale direct.
Very good deal. Sadly I already own all of the games. If you don't, then don't miss out.

stoicsentry: I wasn't literally asking the *user* WTF what he wants. The fact that his post followed mine is pure coincidence.

LOL
Lol :)

Didn't notice that. :)
Totally just bought all of these!

Already have a few of them prior, but now I have them DRM FREE, and on my GOG account. :D

Man, I've been loving all over the weekend sales recently.
An incredible deal! I've been eyeing Wallace & Gromit and now it was possible for me to afford it. Really looking forward to playing it!

koima57: Haha you guess it there is just something violently unappealing to me in the visual of those two.. Maybe that clay rendered in 3D or the original feel of it, i never saw the cartoon movie so i can't tell.. Though i have most of Telltales games in my library i always skip on this one, maybe if i were to try a demo someday would grace it on my side.

Edit : Trying now Steam demo, let me give it a chance!

Edit 2 : Chance given and purchased, i learn some more not to judge too fast a book by its cover, very Telltale from the demo so i see. Also nice, French subtitles on a GOG game FOR ONCE.. :)

KainDrake: Wow. Apparently, you're not a Wallace and Gromit fan. It's actually a very good game and it's based on an old stop-motion short series. If you like TellTale's games, I recommend Wallace and Gromit. :D

koima57:
Haha. Nice. Glad you liked it. :) Have fun and enjoy the rest of the games. And if you have the game on GoG, check out the Cracking Contraption videos. Those are some of their old shorts. :)

Licurg: I think Telltale just realizes their games are overpriced.
Telltale already knew this from the first day on. Their price points are designed for big discounts, because Steam taught the average gamer to wait for those absurd 75% off deals. Most games today are either ridiculously overpriced or underpriced (promo).

GOG had to adapt to this. They can't offer Monkey Island for reasonable 20 Dollar and do 50 or 60% off deals. You can't sell the game for 33 Euro on Steam and for 20 Dollar on GOG. Steam would look like an absurdly overpriced place and GOG would look like some greedy ********, because they never do "decent" sales with those small numbers in front of the percent sign...
GREAT DEAL! (Un)fortunately I already own all of them :)
I don't really think these games are overpriced. They are episodic, but each time I've played an episode of Sam&Max, it felt like a full game to me. The fact that the episodes aspect forces you to buy several is what makes them expensive, but I don't find the individual prices unfair. And I think they would not look so, if the stories were unrelated.

Anyway.

I'm hesitating to buy Monkey Island. I had adored Monkey Island 1, I had played half of Monkey Island 2... But I can't imagine how successfull or enjoyable the transposition to telltale 3D can be, It worked pretty well with Sam and Max, in my opinion. I have doubts about Monkey Island, for some reason.

So. Opinions of Monkey Island players ?
