What's makes a balanced gaming diet? As we understand it, it should be composed of a solid main course, and something lighter for dessert. In our <i>Strategy First</i> catalog it's not hard to compose such a delicious meal. One of the deep and complex strategy games would serve as the main course, and there's plenty of action games to go with them. If just one plate leaves you hungry for more, there's no point in denying yourself seconds. Everything on the menu is 60% off, this weekend. We know you'd like to go ahead and dig in, so let's just name a few dishes from our [url=http://www.gog.com/promo/strategy_first_weekend_promo_210214]Strategy and Action Special weekend promo, shall we?

We've got games from the Jagged Alliance series, if you like army rations served with a rich turn-based tactical sauce. We've got Space Empires IV Deluxe and O.R.B. Offworld Resource Base, if your taste in strategy calls for something otherworldly exotic. There's also some hot and spicy auto racing in , for those of you who like fast food. Finally, if you're trying to eat light, there's the ethereal dish that is [url=http://www.gog.com/game/ghost_master]. What a delight!

Sounds yummy, doesn't it? But thats only a small taste! Go to our Strategy and Action Special page to sample the whole 60% off buffet! The promo lasts until Tuesday, February 24, at 7:29AM GMT. Don't miss out on the feast!

Ever since STARS! stopped working on my OS I've been looking for something comparable in terms of look and learning curve (as easy or hard as you want with some flexibility). Space Empires IV looks like it might fit the bill but I'd like to hear from anyone (if there is anyone) that is familiar with both STARS! and Space Empires.

Ok, thx - I appreciate it.

So nothing for me today.
I was hoping a manual will added to Sid Meier's Covert Action but it seems I'll have to wait a bit more with a purchase :-(

A couple I need to get in there.............

a heads up to everyone.....I would think twice before supporting Malfador Machinations, the developer of space Empires IV...............it seems that Aaron doesn't support his games any longer.

Have a read at the forums of the last game he released.

http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/forumdisplay.php?f=230

To think he had a good reputation in the gaming industry. I know I will never buy another game developed by Aaron.

GOG.com: ... Finally, if you're trying to eat light, there's the ethereal dish that is .
Looks like the Ghost Master link in the promo post and in the top forum post is even more ethereal than intended, as the URL coding doesn't show up until you try and quote it, then you can see the link address but is missing the tag/game name between the ][.

As to the promo itself, I have most of these already, but will have to consider picking up a few more that I've not seen on sale recently.
Some real good games. Sadly its hard for me to find those i don't already own...so no buy this weekend maybe next time....
Nothing for me today, my wallet can breathe again

Is it silly of me to get giddy over vague game release hints? Because I get very, very giddy ;D

Yes.
But I share in your silliness. :)
Hmmm.....I've been avoiding the flight sims that are left for quite a while now. I know the reviews are good overall, but I'm more of a Descent or Wing Commander sort of sim person, not real world sims. That said, I love Red Baron.

Maybe I should just dive in.

Disciples games and Sacred are must-buys. The JA games, Patrician III and Ghost Master are also really good games, but probably not for everyone .
