To continue the subject of FPS games started today by adding new bonus materials for Painkiller, we're launching this weekend's promotion.
During the next four days you can grab two classic shooters: [url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/kingpin_life_of_crime]Kingpin: Life of Crime and Redneck Rampage Collection that includes Redneck Rampage, Redneck Rampage Rides Again: Arkansas and Redneck Rampage: Suckin' Grits on Route 66 in a bundle for only $9.98. The rules stay the same: you have to buy both games in one order or click here to receive the discount and all those of you who already have one of the games can grab the other one with a $1.00 discount. The promotion ends on Monday, February 9 at 11:59 p.m. EDT.
Just a heads up, "During the next four days" would be better. Might pick up RR now but I already have Kingpin =)

Its vice versa for me. Already have Redneck Rampage but am wondering if I should get Kingpin. Granted I did have some fun with it back in the day but now I don't know if I'd enjoy it to the same degree.
I really like these weekend promos, but I have to pass on this one. Just not my type of game. What might next weeks promo be....hmm...?
Sold.

To be honest, I haven't played Kingpin much. The graphics "wobble" (for want of a better term) on my PC and I really didn't have a clue of what I was supposed to be doing or where to go. I should try it again sometime though.

Quake 2 engine :( Not exactly the best id engine. While it did bring some fairly important changes to the engine architecture, making it one of the best engines to build your games on, it doesn't really do a good job with the graphics. Still paletted textures, still the same vertex animation system as Q1. Which means wobbling animations. Besides, I remember Kingpin as looking fairly muddy even for games of that time, so I'm not sure either if I want to pick it up.
I might check out king pin, hahaha.
Not my cup of tea so I'll pass this time :)

Naah, I just don't like FPS games in general, fast paced shooters even less. I genrally like slow paced games, games that do not require good/quick reflexes. But thanks anyway :)

Well, I'll tell you this, the real reason I got RR was the soundtrack, it's awesome in a special sort of way. I've never heard anything like it before or since.
Since I already own the games, I didn't think I'd buy these from GOG anytime soon. Apparently I was wrong.
Another great bundle from GOG, thank you guys! <3
Damn, each time there'sa weekend promo, it's always for stuff I have, stuff I'm not interested in or stuff I REALLY want but don't have the money for...
Middle option this time but its always good to see things that are extremely cheap becoming insanely cheap
As good as an excuse as any to buy these :) I am always up for trying FPS's I missed back in the day. UT99 probably made me miss them completely!
