shadowrgog: Hi, thanks for the promo opportunity GOG. I am new to the concept of how 'missing games that make a comeback' work so if anyone can enlighten me please do as soon as possible thanks, either here or PM. My hypothetical is this: let's say I take advantage and buy something like Gothic 2 Gold Edition for cheap ($1.49) and it's in my library, available for download anytime I want as is typical for games in my library. The issue is, because this game is a temporary catalog item and will be gone after Dec. 23, will it still be in my library available to download anytime (after Dec. 23) I want since it is gone from the catalog? Just my personal thoughts, but if I can't download it anytime I want AFTER I bought it, that seems unfair since real money was spent to attempt to play/own the game. I would rather not invest in it if that is the case. Let me know at one's convenience thanks.
Yes, it will remain in your library after it gets pulled from GOG.

RPGOracle: There appears to be a bug in relation to Silver... if I pick only Silver, it's €1.19. But if I add any other game from this set to my cart at the same time, then Silver will revert to its original price of €4.79 !?!
avatar
Grargar: This bug also occurs when you already have the game, meaning that you can't even purchase it at a discounted price as a gift.
I was able to purchase Silver at the discounted price, by only selecting Silver, no other games. Then the discount is applied. I purchased the other games I wanted separately.

Of course it will stay in your library, as long as GOG lives ;)
You *bought* it, you should be able to access it at any time. Any vendor not following this is not worth your money.
Painkiller Black Edition and Desperados 2: Cooper's Revenge have a price level of 9.99 USD each and 1.99 USD each after discount, so 80% off. Still, when selecting them the discount showed is 85% but the price remains still at 1.99 USD each. So what's correct?
I have to say, I'd like them apples better if they would stay.

Can GOG.com or Thom tell us, if that's it for good with the NG catalogue, or if you are talking about bringing it back indefinitely?
Was interested in get Spellforce here, but the collection isn't complete yet and I guess will not be anymore...

marionette: What the hell is going on with this publisher? I don't even know anymore... Should I reward this behaviour by purchasing something? Hmmm.
this post here is exactly the correct sentiment, i feel.
it's good that nordic are here.
it's bad that they're basically just stopping by to rake in some money as the result of a sale.

this sets a bad precedent, i feel:
a company that doesn't /really/ want to do business with gog can just drop by sometime and say, "hey, we'd like to do a big flash sale with all our stuff, do you want to do that?" and then, of course, because nordic has already done it, these other folks get to pull the same stunt.

there is one game i want here, [mostly as a result of sorta messing around with it way back when] but i feel like giving nordic money basically says: "i am ok with this broken behaviour." so, i'm not giving nordic any money. sorry.

Wonderful, quick response and all. Questioned solved, thanks Andanzas and have a +1 for caring. And also, anyone else who answers my question will get a +1 from me for caring too even though it was answered just because of effort to let me know and all! Thanks again and have a happy promo to those who want to take advantage of this quick in n' out!

Welcome back Nordic Games!
It´s nice to have them back for a few days so that those who don´t already own their whole catalog get the opportunity to pick it up on a fantastic discount!

But: The main thing why I wanted Nordic back in were the MISSING games. Nordic told us (before that breakup) that they´d be working on bringing TitanQuest, BlackMirror III and Darksiders I & II to GOG. And we need those, as they are very important titles!
Uhm... this makes so little sense!
If it is fine to sell those games discounted with no regional pricing, why keeping them here to stay is not?
Moreover, they have been sold this way for YEARS before the currency shift. I know that seeing the difference with other stores is more noticeable now, but seriosuly: the amount of money does not change when you convert it in another currency! 10$ were -nearly- 8€ even before being advertised as such! I call this "having double standards".
Even if the items I didn't have interested me I'm not too sure about "investing" in games that will not be supported by anyone.

Bleargh...
Wish they would stay, though we all know that would require regional pricing + the fair price package. (Personally I'd be okay with that.)
