IronArcturus: How does Spellforce 2 compare to Spellforce 1?
More RPG team based combat, less base building and support units.

Maybe Nordic wants regional pricing without Fair Price Package (unacceptable by GOG) and they already know what VPNs are? It this is the case, then bringing them back "permanently" won't be easy.

Speaking of VPNs - I wonder how GOG exactly dislike them (they are mentioned under FPP in the TOS):
1. They don't recommend them - better pay more and use extra money later, but if you really want to pay less, you can.
2. They hate them - don't even try to workaround FPP or you'll get punished.

More RPGs are always a welcome in my book.

Are the stories connected or can you play both games independently of each other, in any order?
What games would be good for trading later?
Gothic 2 seems like a good choice, any others that would be good?

I played the second game first. :-)
They can be played in any order.

The second game is based on hero units and feels like an RPG. Base buildng and resource management is pretty basic. As I remember Spellforce 2: Shadow Wars had only 3-4 maps with base building and Dragon Storm even fewer. I haven't played Demons of the Past yet.

Edit: In spellforce games you can travel to different maps in an RPG style (e.g. through portals or roads).

Leroux: Your unexpected generosity makes me feel like Ebenezer Scrooge. :D Thank you, Squib of Christmas Yet To Come, I'll try to pay it forward!
You're very welcome...sorry for the slow reply :P

FoxySage: Can't really justify buying the whole catalog for four games even though i'll lose 5% of the discount.

How are The Book of Unwritten Tales: The critter chronicles and the Desperados games? Any good?
Check PM and find out for yourself :)

MaxFulvus: Snip....
I can't speak about Desperados 2 : Cooper's revenge because I don't own it :(
You do now, check PM.

Sounds great! How did you like Dragon Storm compared to Shadow Wars?

Their game mechanics are about the same, but Shadow Wars is a longer game with more content. Dragon Storm is a stand-alone expansion of Shadow Wars.

I feel like being generous.

Three different people tell me a game out of this Nordic sale that you want, and I'll buy you a copy (one game per person).

Just let me know what you want and I'll PM you a code :)

More Christmas free key fun:

Now on to the bells with the much loved role-playing game, SILVER.

Complete the password with letters from the song Auld Lang Syne.

The two missing letters are the first letters of the fifth and eighth word of the song.

Generally a bad idea to drop open codes, even lightly encrypted ones, since there's plenty of lurkers who won't bother saying anything. Still, have yourself a Happy Christmas!

That's a great gesture, props!

I'm feeling a bit playful, so here's a thought: I have Gothic 2, both Desperados, and both Aquanox. Out of the rest, there's a pretty eclectic group of good titles I've never tried. So, please pick your favourite, and I'll try it out :-)

I apologise if you were hoping that someone with a concretely wishlisted item would benefit. If so, please disregard my frivolity ;)

Hello, i redeemed it. Many thanks and happy holidays! :)
I got a lot of great Nordic games today. I heavily considered the whole catalog, but I won't play most of them, but I am glad to have picked up the Spellforce series and Silver.
