Leevi: Had few of these already, but bought the rest (30 games) now, after paying noticed that I had 0.50€ Store Credits.

Confirmation email says
"This order gives you € 0.50 back in Store Credit for any future purchase."

Was one of the games region priced?
At least Book of Unwritten Tales.
C'mon guys please stay, Steam is turning into shit we need GOG.

cstuckma: I see validity in either choice for influencing the future of GOG with your dollar:
1. Make a stand that says "if you don't want to work with GOG, then I don't want to buy from you" and risk them seeing GOG as an unworthy investment.
OR
2. Let them know there is still demand for their products if they will work with GOG and risk giving them more cash to run away with.

I could not blame anyone for making either choice.
For what it's worth (as a single customer out of many, not much), I'm in the first camp. Sorry if that hurts the chance of bringing them back, but there it is.

But after this sale, I don't think bringing them back permanently is going to do them much good. At 90% off I can think of three primary reasons that you do NOT snatch up as many of these titles as you can:

- you're flat broke
- you looked at your existing backlog and decided to take a break from buying
- on principle you're choosing not to buy them, whether that principle is well-intentioned or misguided

I have a feeling that 90% off is going to override the second two cases for a whole lot of people, at which point much of the customer base already has the titles and a 'glorious return with regional pricing' isn't going to give them a whole lot more revenue.

Different story if the return also brings with it new titles that haven't been seen here previously. If that's the case, then I'll say to Nordic, "I'm not buying on a one-time gimmick. If you want my sale then come back and stay back, and at the same time let more of your catalog come to this store."

Sintjago: Thanks. Got them.

Didn't get Gothic last time before they were removed.

Are all of these games leaving or are some staying?

JudasIscariot: All of the games that have been removed will be removed once more once the promo ends. The King ART games will continue to be sold here as those were not affected by the original removal :)
What about Amnesia and Penumbra?
avatar
Fictionvision: Something just feels wrong about the total in my cart going up $20 for removing Jack Keane 2.
Hahahaha +1 :)

Magmarock: What about Amnesia and Penumbra?
They are clinging to GOG's fair priced nether regions:

Yes, they'll make (more) money after they'll return, because gog's customer base is constantly growing.
All the free games that gog already gave avay for free in the past are still selling and they will also sell in the future.
And nordic will also bring new titles here which will generate even more sales/income.
imo it's only a question of (short) time until we see nordic here again on a permanent basis.
Anyway, the point is stop seeing only your little box and start thinking "macro" ;)

MetalPlateMage: I'm actually kind of surprised they were able to arrange this with all the distribution agreements they have
Theres nothing to be surprised of, those agreements are about normal/regular prices. When on sale they can do almost anything (price wise).

turning into? as far as i'm concerned, it always was.

ThomNG: Just enjoy this special promotion GOG and we decided to do as a Christmas gift.

Just as the question has occured: the 3 titles which have not disappeared - The Book of Unwritten Tales, The Critter Chronicles and The Raven - will stay live even after that promotion - I just wanted to have them included, so that you can enjoy the great KING Art titles at a great price for the next weeks until The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 will be released. The rest of the catalogue will again go offline after this sale.

Hope you like this option anyways.
Cheers & happy holidays in advance!
Thanks for an awesome promo with REALLY awesome prices! I'd love to throw more of my money at you, but unfortunately, I already own the complete Nordic catalogue here.

Only one way to fix that: Release more games here! I know Black Mirror 3 was all set and ready to go, I hope to see that one here soon (too bad it's not already part of the promo...). But what I'm really curious about: Does NG own the rights to Stranglehold? I know it was published by THQ at the time of release, so I thought maybe we're in luck. There's a severe lack of Chow Yun-Fat-themed games here on GOG and I was hoping you could help fix that!

So, happy holidays and thanks for the (non-regionally priced) promo!
I plan to buy Desperados, should I buy Desperados 2 too? The reviews are not that convincing to me.

I was having the same problems yesterday and after reading many reviews i decided that D2 just isn't worth it.

Book of Unwritten Tales 1 or 2 or Raven: Legacy of the Master Thief.
Its unfortunate that Nordic isn't coming back permanently (at this time at least), but at least I get to grab up the last few games that were on my wishlist when their catalog was taken down.
So tempted, Damn you GOG and Nordic 8). I might pick up one or two titles before there gone again 8P.
'Tis good they returned (although not for long). Hope they see how much the people here are interested in their games and decide to come back permanently, with all the games they have (including those which were never on GOG).
As for me, I already have everything that was of interest to me so... see you next time Nordic, I guess.
