Excellent promo! Thankfully I still have some money left over after the winter sale, so I picked up the rest of the catalog I didn't have money for the first time around, and now own all. :)

As others have stated, I wish they would stay onboard, but as is, thank you GOG and Nordic for this wonderful Christmas gift of a surprise sale!

Grargar: Can you tell me what you wanted? I might be able to help. You said something about ShinyLoot.
Already checked out, got about 10 items, I'm pretty sure I got all the gog only drm free ones.
Nordic, I just bought all of them. Now stop being such a snob and make sure to return quickly here on GOG. The place where everybody knows your name and they are glad you are here.

Intresting, we have the chance to buy games which were gone for some time and still some of you complain ?

If you don't like it - don't buy it. Easy as that.

Selling games for 90% off (instead of keeping them non-attainable here on gog) - yesss, sinister as it can get *sarkasm*;)

I for one am happy to get some of my missing favourites, thank you gog :)
It does seem frivilous for GOG and Nordic to return these games on sale for only one weekend suggesting that whatever reason for the delisting was ultimately not so condeming as to prevent sale by staging a gimmicky brief return. It's cool to see them return in some form, but I wish it was more lasting and have hope this is a good sign things can be resolved.

Was it ever explained why the Nordic games could only return briefly? If they weren't permanently gone the last time the 30+ games were removed, then why have the games temporarily come back?
How does Summoner compare to Sudeki? It looks equally okay, but ultimately bland, repetitive and forgettable. Is there something that makes it special and/or better than Sudeki?

It's not about complaining. People want Nordic back. Not back and forth, not gone at one point, not coming back, then hey look they're back but only for a limited time, then they're gone, but maybe they'll come back again later.
If you're going to stand with GOG, if you want them to thrive, then be here and stand here.
Also, after the two sales, a lot of people won't have the coin in their pocket to pull the trigger on missing items, making them really annoyed that the games are here, then gone again.
(Unless you've got the combination of a magical cash generating entity and generosity level that borders on the benevolently deranged like Sinistar does, that is....)

I would think of it as a special event, like a Humble Bundle. During it, Nordic can set prices and discounts however they please, but they can't do so forever and, thus, must be removed once again.

They said that the introduction of local currencies was the problem, because Nordic wanted all shops to offer the games with the same price tags on them, and while in several countries you could buy them for less on GOG than they would cost elsewhere, it was still okay to them because it wasn't that obvious, since dollar prices were the same everywhere. Now that prices are shown in e.g. Euro, too, you can easily compare Euro prices and realize how much more the games cost for Europeans in other shops, and Nordic doesn't like that.

The reason why it's okay for a short sale despite all is probably the same as the one why some games are DRM-free in Humble bundles for a short time but not on the regular - as an exception to the rule, a short event to give some extra incentive for buying, without companies having to change their policies permanently.

Well explained Leroux ;)
Nice move, but I already have all the games that I want from Nordic's catalogue.

Maybe if you brought something new to the table... ;-)

jcoa: Black Mirror, and Silver aren't DRM free anywhere else. Any other games not available DRM free?
I'm not sure that Silver is available anywhere, regardless of DRM or not.
