Damn, this is actually a pretty decent promo with some games I don't have in it.. and I'm totally broke cause I had to save up all that money to replace my old DSLite with a 3DS XL and Black Friday didn't have any good deals.

Guess I'm gonna have to pass this time. I wish you guys had the sales on more than just weekends, though. Weeklong sales would be nice, too. But that's just me being upset cause I have to miss out on this.

I'd have totally gotten Painkiller, both Dark Fall and Neighbors From Hell. :<

deonast: Wow everyone will be aiming to be first poster now that you have set that precedent.
Judging by all the negative votes I received (three low rated posts?), it doesn't seem to be a precedent people want set.

Sorry, guys. I was just fooling around. No harm intended by me.

:(

You've learned your lesson. Go and sin no more.
I own all the games, but one... The Book of Unwritten Tales... per the main post it's only discounted 33%.

Hmmm... too bad too... I'd purchase at 60% off.

So guys which games in this sale are must have's? (i already have all the Gothic games)
Already have them all except The Book of Unwritten Tales - I get to save some money this weekend. ;-)
I wholeheartedly recommend The Book of Unwritten Tales. It's definitely one of the best games I've ever played!

If you ask me, besides the games you already have, there are none.

The Aquanox games are super fun, and the Dark Fall series are good creepy adventure games if that's what you want, but neither game from either series is "must have".

Of course, if you ask The Joe, The Guild is "THE BEST GAME IN THE WHOLE WORLD EVER". He suggests that "EVERYBODY PLAY IT" and that it is "THE BEST GODDAMN GAME EVER MADE." He decrees that "ALL GOGERS ARE OBLIGATED TO PLAY THE GUILD FOR AT LEAST 24 HOURS PER WEEK" and further insists that "ALL MUST PLAY THE GUILD TO BE CONSIDERED TRUE GOGERS." In his short March 2009 review of the game, he continues to throw superlatives at the game by declaring "This game is AWESOME SAUCE!!!" and "this game is FANTASTIC!" He says that while the game is "a little difficult to pickup at first," that ultimately his recommendation is: "get this game, now."

I think the lessons here are clear.

First, The Joe should not be trusted, as he is clearly insane; while he has had numerous forum titles in the time since, saying "I'm not Marcin", and "Moderate please", The Joe's longest-running forum title (lasting many years) hinted at the depths of his disturbing obsession with the game, desperately pleading the reader to "BUY THE GUILD!"

Second, The Guild makes people [url=http://i.imgur.com/Cd40q.jpg]insane. Avoid it.

Should I get this? I am in pickle. Because Nordic Games have indicated that they are gonna support Linux more and more. If I get this on GOG I risk learning later that they are ported some of the games to Linux and that I will be cut off from those ports because I happened to buy the games from GOG and not somewhere else :(
The Book of Unwritten Tales is the only one I don't have and I heard kind of "meh" reviews over it. Can anyone say that this game is definitely worth it?

Same here - its the only one I don't have - you buy it and let me know ;-) I'm saving the money this weekend.
Picked up the two Dark Fall games and already had The Guild, Book of Unwritten Tales, and Neighbours from Hell from previous promos. Going to wait a little longer on the Gothic games because I like to play things in order.

This is what I was talking about:
“Linux has always had a very dedicated user base and I am happy to see that gaming expands its horizons with a platform like Steam. We want to have our games on suiting operating systems as early as possible. Linux is definitely a great opportunity to make our games available to a broader audience and we are pleased to say that The Book of Unwritten Tales is simply the first of them to be developed for the Linux platform” said Reinhard Pollice, Business and Product Development at Nordic Games.
