Waxworks, Downfall, Secret Agent, Chaos Overlords, and many other classics up to 70% off!

Hear ye, hear ye! In case you missed it, spring has arrived and with it comes our [url=http://www.gog.com/promo/spring_weekend_promo_160514]May Myriad of Games!! This weekend we are offering a cornucopia of classic titles, ranging from horror in a living wax museum, a cyberpunk dystopia with turn-based gang warfare to a post-apocalyptic point-and-click adventure where Man is a mostly a myth. The temperatures are high (unless you are in rainy Europe) but the prices are low! Let's take a look at the classics we've got lined up for you!

and [url=http://www.gog.com/game/the_cat_lady]The Cat Lady. Usually, when we write about these kind of promos, we mention one game at a time in these blurbs but these two games should be played together, starting with and then [url=http://www.gog.com/game/the_cat_lady]The Cat Lady. In Downfall, you, as Joe Davis, will explore a hotel that isn't quite what it seems and you'll encounter many twists and tuns that may warp your psyche just a tad. In The Cat Lady, set in the same universe as Downfall, you'll take on the role of Susan Ashworth as you come to grips with the reality of depression and battle against five Parasites, ruthless psychopaths that wear human forms. If you're a fan of Remigiusz Michalski's psychological horror, you can't pass these stylish adventures by!

Before he was known as the greatest ladies man to grace the Earth, Duke Nukem had his humble beginnings in Duke Nukem 1 +2. With classic side-scrolling platforming action, you'll go through Duke's first forays into video gaming fame. Battle against the fantastically evil Dr. Proton, get kidnapped and fight back against zombifying aliens, and see why Duke wrote a book called "Why I'm So Great".

It wouldn't be spring without a bit of chaos! If you're looking for a classic cyberpunk turn-based strategy game, you can't go wrong with Chaos Overlords. You'll wage war against rival overlords sending out your gangs against theirs in a tense war of influence over a vulnerable city.

Each game's a classic in our May Myriad of Games! Grab a wide variety of games for up to 70% off until Tuesday, May 20th 3:59 AM GMT. Spring is in the air!
I just spent about fifteen minutes playing Crystals of Arborea and it's pretty fun! I need to read the manual to get a good grip on the gameplay rules (example: mages and rangers have to stand in a certain spot in order to be able to do anything) but it doesn't seem to be overly complex or hard. It's open world, the in-game map is useful, the graphics are nice enough, the enemies roam around and seemingly follow you and it actually has a day/night cycle. I don't know why, but I'm surprised by how deep it appears to be.
APOGEE!

Couldn't resist this one... knocked a good few entries off my wish list.

More like ApoGee Oh Gee, am I right? :D

*hurries away, dodging thrown tomatoes*
Oh, this finishes at near 4am tuesday?! Nice.
I have a nostalgic urge to buy Secret Agent and Hocus Pocus, but that's just it - nostalgia. I mean I have so many modern platformers in my backlog...

Not to mention the entire Sega Classics collection...

Real good sale this go around... can't decide between Secret Agent, Teminal Velocity, Hocus Pocus, Ishmar, or The Dukester 1 and 2. They all sound like must buys... but the last promo put a dent... any suggestions?
Well, thanks to this promo I am only one Duke Nukem appearance short of having the whole GOG set. Has the Manhattan Project been on sale recently?
I have the Ishar games but i haven't played them back in the day. So i decided to give the first one a shot later and just wanted to know how difficult it is?
It'll certainly take some time to get used to the clunky interface but i just want to know if it is one of those "hardcore" 90s RPGs or does a noob like me have a chance to get anywhere in it without dying a hundred times? :D

It looks like you might be able to make it a little bit easier on yourself, if necessary - http://www.cheatbook.de/files/ishar1.htm (I can't confirm, though).

Thanks for the tip! This might come in handy if the game turns out to be too hard for me.
Procrastination seems to have paid off for once, since I just grabbed Downfall to play before proceeding with The Cat Lady. Picked up Chaos Overlords as well for good measure. Can't have enough dystopia.
Also, screw you, spellchecker, that word IS spelled correctly, damn it.

Can't get past all the bad reviews for the Ishtar series.

Gotta love how spellchecker likes to think it knows better than us.

At least it is only a spellchecker and not an auto-correct-er. I have heard some stories of how that has gotten people into trouble when texting...

They're all good games, though I'm not sure about Ishmar, as I've never played it. My current personal ranking would be Secret Agent > Hocus Pocus > Duke 1-2, but they're all great. Also, if you want to know more about Secret Agent, check out my review on the product page.

Agreed. Crappy programs make for a lot of wacky hijinks. First time a phone did that and started replacing entire words in my conversation, it'd be replaced or thrown out the nearest window.
