Stronghold HD, Evil Genius, Sniper Elite: Berlin 1945, and 17 other great classics for as little as $1.79!

There's an old Polish proverb comparing March to a cooking pot full of boiling brew. You never know what's inside exactly and what comes up when. It relates--of course--to Central European unstable weather in the early spring, but why shouldn't we apply the same to our weekend promo? Let's mix stuff up a little with our March Gaming Medley. So, what's in the pot? A rich base of strategic classics, a solid serving of Sci-Fi, and some explosive action to make it irresistibly spicy. Whether you're looking for a quick snack, or a full sit-down three-course meal, we've got you covered with our 70% off discount offer. Here's what's on the menu!

Stronghold HD (only $1.79!) and Stronghold Crusader HD (only $2.99) are the High Definition editions of these two "castle sim" classics. Adjusted to modern displays they allow for much better control of the playfield and deliver awe-inspiring view of life-like medieval landscape. With great range of things the player needs to take care of--including establishing a sustainable economy, erecting a keep and defending it from enemy raids, and finally conquering neighbouring estates--both games present a worthwhile challenge to strategy fans.

For strategy fans who appreciate humor, we've got Evil Genius, a real-time mad scientist lair management sim in which you terrorize the world with your inventions. This fantastic title delivers some of the greatest comedic moments you'll ever experience in a game. The characters, the setting, and all of the facilities and gadgets make it the best Bond villain simulator in existence! This weekend, you can start expanding your empire of evil for only $2.99.

Or maybe strategy isn't your thing and you prefer to get right into the middle of action? That can be arranged. Sniper Elite: Berlin 1945 will drop you off in the middle of the ruined German capital in the final days of World War II. You'll take part in some of the events that ended the greatest war in human history and strike against the remnants of the Nazi forces with surgical precision. Just remember, move slowly, calculate each step with care, and stay low, as you're not the only elite sniper left in Berlin! All that suspense and excitement for only $2.99.

All four games featured above will work both on Windows and Mac OS X PCs.That's just a small taste of what our March Gaming Medley holds in store for you. Be sure to visit March Gaming Medley to see the entire selection of games available 70% off until Tuesday, March 11, at 4:59AM GMT.

Are you following GOG.com on Tumblr, yet? Your enigmatic hint for our upcoming classic release is waiting for you there, in The Week on GOG #5. That's it from us today, have an excellent weekend :-)

Well, picked up both Strongholds and Evil Genius. My lack of self-control is now complete...

I just bought 2 games I already have on disc...again. What self control!?

EDIT: Make it 3. Might as well get rid of that Crusader disc taking up all that valuable shelf space. :D

Vorax: Don't buy BloodRayne 2.

tinyE: HEY! Not so fast. :D

Yes the camera is screwed up but it looks great and she's hot and it's bloody as hell. If you thought TR Angel of Darkness was passable and even kind of enjoyed it then get BR 2. It's not nearly as clunky as that and the camera is about the same in terms of annoying.
Wasnt Kristina Lovren the chick who did the lead role in the movie version? (by the infamous Mr Uwe Boll? )

IAmSinistar: Very nice, I can get both 2000AD titles off my wishlist. I think I will indulge in some Stronghold at last as well, and may even throw in the first Empire Earth.

To me this promo has some titles that I've not seen on sale often, so it is a welcome one.

EDIT:

Judge Dredd: Dredd vs Death
Rogue Trooper
Lords of the Realm: Royal Edition
Empire Earth: Gold Edition
Stronghold HD

For a little over $10. That buy was pretty dang sweet.
Google Game + gog sale and you get (e.g.) http://www.gog.com/news/get_empire_earth_gold_edition_free

and so on...

But it ain't free now, so I appreciate today's bargain. Not that I haven't gotten free games from GOG (Witcher, Torchlight, Dungeon Keep, Fallout, etc). But deals-that-were don't help those of us who want-it-now.

Kristanna Loken. I actually watched that travesty in a theatre...I thankfully passed up the two sequels which went straight to DVD.
Picked up Rogue Trooper & Pinball Gold Pack(The music was fixed recently).

GOG, can we have an option to display only say 20 or 40 titles on the shelf, as currently it is showing 260 titles and is well...killing my dual core desktop PC.

Rogue Trooper worked out of the box but I had to create a profile, change some setting then restart to be able to choose a widescreen resolution (1080p) but after it was good to go, I even added (enhanced) some AA because the game only allowed 4xAA (MSAA?).

It still plays great even though it's like most generic third person shooter with heavy console influence but somehow it just works for me. Does anyone know if it's possible to disable aim assist/lockdown? It's way too much.

I thought you were saying you knew how Sword of the Samurai ended, implying you had already finished it back in the '90s.
Damn it GOG, I'm already way over my spending limit . Do you want me to end up living in a box ? :(
Bloodrayne 1 and 2
Empire Earth 2 and 3 (Stupid incurable chronic completionitis)
Rogue Trooper (The video sold me, it looks fun.)

Now I'm going to team up with Licurg and try to find a box with internet access.
