When I get home I'm getting TOCA 3 for the sake its disappearing, but also FlatOut because it costs less than some sandwiches I've bought.
Wow, if it took Codemasters/Steam that long to figure that out since GOG's inception...
To be honest, I really doubt that's the reason, and I wouldn't be too surprised to see it vanish from Steam without notice either. Like a few other games (and Valve tend not to bother informing anyone).
Well it sucks a lot that TOCA 3 will be removed so soon, could the game be back at some point like Original War or it will be removed forever from GOG?

That fully depends on how hard it'll be to convince Ubisoft that they actually want to sell the game here, at that price point, without DRM.
I already bought it together with Screamer during the spring promo, though I probably should have settled for another racing game... which one of those available here is most similar to the Ridge Racer series? (I've played and loved RR V and RR64, though the second one only in an emulator)

Codemasters, not Ubisoft.

Well, just buy it now if you haven't already.

This is sad. I guess it is because higher prices can be obtained from Steam. The problem with Steam is that they provide no guarantees that you will be able to play your games, should they terminate service or a game become terminated. At least with GOG, you get to download the game, DRM free and back it up.
I was just thinking that GOG should have a racing game sale. Now I had to go and buy Flatout. I already had TOCA. What a great game.
I wonder if Colin McRae will find its way into the deal over the weekend?

Actually i don't have much interest in TOCA 3, Flatout seems more promising mainly because of the dirt cheap price however i am short by 0,50 dollars, for some reason that happens a lot to me.
Thanks for giving us a heads up on the removal !

I have no idea where I got ubi from... I just typed that automatically.
It does not nessesrily mean that TOCA Race Driver 3 will also be removed from Steam as it has the "advantage" of regional restrictions.
While it's not a game I care about, I'm sure there are others here who care and losing game from catalog is always bad for GOG even if they later manage to reaquire it as their time is wasted on reaquiring game instead of getting new ones.
Edit: Oh and great that you were able to inform us about pullout before it happened and hopefully you're able to so in future if games are pulled as well.

I want to say thanks to GOG for informing us of the removal. It did hasten my purchase of this game as well as Flatout.
I hope it arranged that this game returns soon though on general principal.
I was vaguely considering 1nsane so I got it. Don't like racing sims but TOCA is going, so...figured I'd give it a shot. Flatout I tried the demo for and couldn't get the hang of the controls at all...but its three frickin' dollars so I figured I might as well.
$13 for three quality racing games -- you guys are mad. :)
Thanks for letting us know in advance and what's happening!
Are the discounts valid for other racing games, namely Megarace?
So, anyone else would like to recommend TOCA to me? I'm not a fan of racing games, especially realistic ones, but TOCA seems to have something for everyone - namely having all sorts of vehicles except bikes. I'm hesitant to get it because I'm thinking I might as well just save up and buy FUEL or something, but because it's disappearing off shelves, I'm really hoping someone would try to sell it to me :P
Also, is FlatOut any good? Is it a one of a kind in the market, or are there better alternatives that I can get?
-edit-
Never mind silly me. I just realised there's FlatOut 2
