Atlantis series, Dracula series, Syberia 1&2, MegaRace 1-3, Moto Racer 1-3, and more Anuman games 70% off!

Here's a thing about coincidences: they happen. And when they do happen, they sometimes produce awkward outcomes. Seeing that we're offering a whole bunch of classic fan-favorite racing games, as well as some awesome adventure titles on one big sale, we decided to call the promo [url=http://www.gog.com/promo/anuman_promo_061213]Fast and Adventurous. How clever of us, isn't it? A play on the Fast and Furious movie series title and the prominent game genres in the promo--seemed just perfect. Then, a day after we approved the title and made it final, came the news: Paul Walker and his driver died tragically in a car crash. Imagine, how stupid we felt. Now, all we can do, is to assure you that we meant no disrespect and many of us are big fans of Paul Walker's the over-the-top spectacular movie series. We're going to miss the man who made such a great job of entertaining so many people.

But we're here for the games, aren't we? 20 Anuman Interactive games get a 70% off discount. Let's have a look at some of them, shall we?
So, let's start with the "adventurous". The stories of the lost land of have filled our imagination with amazing visions for ages. The adventure games fueled by those vision can set the mood for further exploration of the unknown. [url=http://www.gog.com/game/syberia]Syberia, although it can be seemingly easy located on a map, is no less mysterious and strange than Atlantis. At least in the phenomenal point-and-clicks by the visionary Benoît Sokal, it is.

If adventures aren't really your thing, and you're here for the "fast" part, you'll enjoy the classic futuristic racing titles MegaRace 1+2 and Megarace 3--all presented in oddly charming TV game-show aesthetics. There's also some of more traditional racing, with just two wheels this time, in the Moto Racer, Moto Racer 2, and Moto Racer 3 fan-acclaimed series.

That's only a part of our weekend promo. Head out to the promo page to see the whole list, pick your favorites, and grab them 70% off. The offer lasts until Tuesday, December 10, at 4:59AM GMT.
Thank you to Daniel_M who gifted me Return to Mysterious Island .

thank you

tinyE: If I remember yes but that's rarely a problem because it's not an all around difficult game to begin with. Ever play Desperados? It's almost identical only with easier controls. Of course there is always the handy 'quicksave/quickload' there if you just can't get it right. :D

EDIT
The more I think about it I honestly don't know if it has a pause option. All I know is I never needed one for this game and I tend to need them for everything else.
I guess I'll try it and see if it works for me. =P Thanks!

You're welcome. To all who are on the fence about RTMI, or love adventure games, play this one.
Especially at so low a price.
Another title would have been preferred for this weekend sale, this looks just like opportunistic promoting and it isn't funny at all.
What's next, the escape from Robbenisland RPG sale?

=(

tinyE: Also I recommend that Robin Hood title. I have it on ROM and I'd get it for the collection here if I wasn't cracked from Black Friday.

JaqFrost: Does it have a pause button? (Yes, stupid question, but RTS scares me...) My fingers can't think for themselves, so I need that timeout option. =/
No, there is no active pause option. There are, however, quick actions and they are great after some time when you finally learn how to use them properly. They allow you to "record" a sequence of actions: run here, throw purse there, punch a guard etc. Then you can choose the time when those actions are carried out.
The first Atlantis, Robin Hood and Return to Mysterious Island are sitting on my wishlist, so definitely going to get those.

For people who liked Syberia, I take this opportunity to draw your attention to Amerzone, and earlier work of Benoît Sokal. It's a bit on the short side, but very atmospheric and immersive. Definitely worth checking out for this price. :)

And finally, a question for people who have played the Dracula trilogy: how "horror"-oriented is it, exactly? I dislike realistic/psychological horror since I end up having nightmares because of it. However, I really love Bram Stoker's Dracula, and I'd like to give this trilogy a go, but I'm kind of worried I won't enjoy it much if it's too scary. :/ (For example, I can't manage games like Silent Hill, but I did enjoy Eternal Darkness).
Think I already own everything I really want from this group of games. First person adventure games really aren't my cup of tea, though I might give Return to Mysterious Island and the Dracula games a chance.
20 games in a promo...only 1 i own at GOG....and not one from the list is appealing to me
Does Return to mysterious island worth of playing? I was thinking about Syberia 2 from current promo, but some of you speaks positively about mysterious island. I know what can expect from Syberia but Island is absolutely unknown for me.
Isn't game for example too short or easy? I'm afraid of one-evening experience:)

Not too short (7-8 hours), not too easy. ;)

Oo, thank you! I'm all curious now to try it. =)
It's a darn shame that Dracula Trilogy is not available for Mac...
Is Dracula Trilogy compatible with Windows XP? The game card says it's not, but that would be ridiculous.

If you have Nvidia card, then yes.
