1 Weekend Promo, 2 fantastic franchises, 14 classic games, $26.91 for the complete collection, 100s of hours of unforgettable gaming

all games from Wing Commander and Ultima series available on GOG.com are discounted by 50%. You have the chance to buy Wing Commander 4, or Ultima VII: the Complete Edition for only $2.99 until Monday, June 4 11:59 PM EDT.

Ultima is a series of fantasy RPGs created by Richard Garriott (a.k.a. Lord British more) than 30 years ago. The main story of Ultima universe, which takes place in the worlds of Sosaria and, later, Britannia, follows the unnamed protagonist (known only as the Stranger or later as the Avatar, an incarnation of virtue) through three “Ages”: The Age of Darkness (Ultima I-III), The Age of Enlightenment (Ultima IV-VI), and The Age of Armageddon (Ultima VII-IX). It’s one of the most influential RPG series, recognized for open-ended gameplay, in-depth morality system exploring mature themes like racism and xenophobia, and a rich and detailed world. Whether you want to try the original trilogy, visit thousands of colorful places and characters in Ultima 4+5+6, play through Ultima VII: The Complete Edition--arguably the best in series, find your way back home in Ultima VIII: Gold Edition or complete Ultima Underworld 1 and 2, the first first-person RPGs with true 3D environments, all these titles are available for only $2.99 this weekend on GOG.com.

Wing Commander is a series of 3D space combat simulators, described by the games’ creator Chris Roberts as "World War II in space.” In this series, you follow pilots of the Terran Confederation in their fight against the aggressive feline Kilrathi. Introduce yourself to the epic military space conflict in Wing Commander 1+2, play as Col. Christopher "Maverick" Blair (starred by Mark Hamill) and watch amazing FMV cut-scenes in Wing Commander 3: Heart of the Tiger, enjoy fast, action-packed, and varied space combat in the most expensive video game of its era Wing Commander: Privateer.

In addition to that, because the Wing Commander series plays so much better with a joystick, we’ve approached the guys from Logitech and they were kind enough to offer a few awesome Logitech Extreme™ 3D Pro joysticks to our users. Leave a comment below for a chance to win 1 of 3 logitech joysticks. You can also enter a similar joystick-winning contests on Facebook, Twitter, and Google+.

Become the Ultimate Commander (THE ULTIMMANDER!) and buy the complete collection of EA’s Most Famous Classic Series for only $26.91, this weekend on GOG.com.

JMich: Nice, time to complete the collection.
P.S. Is the contest limited to specific countries only?

MDyzzle: The contest is limited to all the countries of Earth. We don't want to send any joysticks to Kilrathi.
I will not condone this blalant disregard for the martian colonies!

Neato joystick for real-o cheap? I'm in.

Are the Martian Colonies an independant country, or are they part of their motherland? Cause if it is the second, then it is a country of Earth, situated off-Earth :P
The Price of Freedom? Why, that's $2.99
Only 1 game to get ultima 8 and i am on the fenc on it i do feel i need to get it to complete the collection but after reading some peoples reviews dont know if i would play it.

Also thanks for the compo may the best elf win :)
I love Wing Commander, currently on my way to finish WC1 SM2 (the second time :P )... but i always played with mouse. I remember having joystick once, a long time ago, but never really used it, and always had trouble with it.... I really wonder, what's it like to play WCs with joystick, i'll probably suck compared to my mouse techniques :P it would be fun to try though...

i'll probably pick up WC IV to finish my collection. And maybe the oooold ultimas, with their cute ultraprimitive graphics, long live the 80s! Call me S&M but i love those oooldies.

I do have to admit, you have a point ....

But who am I to succumb to reasoning!

I've never played Wing Commander or Ultima, believe it or not, so I will check out at least one from each series (which to go for?).

oh, and thumbs up for giving away sticks of joy :o

Haha, well, complicated philosophical problems sometimes have simple answers.

You have been reported to the pun police, please remain seated and await pick up for rehumorisation.
And this is that big event to celebrate 400 games on GOG catalogue? Naah... I'll pass.

TET said they gonna do something special to celebrate this, and I don't see anything special in this promo.

i already have all of them, except for the first 3 Ultima games. i'm really not sure if i should just get them for completeness' sake, but i'd probably never play them. they're just beyond of what i'm willing to put up with in terms of outdated graphics and gameplay.

i could use a new joystick, though ;) my old MS Sidewinder Precision Pro is like an ancient relic these days...
Well lucky for me I already have gotten the entire Ultima series and Wing Commander well save for Privateer over the course of the past four or so months, so I can finally give my wallet a much needed break, since I got at least two to four games during the last two EA sales and last weeks Funbox sale.

Also in the contest

Huh? I seem to have missed two of these. How did that happen? Well, fixed it now.
