Do I need realMyst if I already own Myst: Masterpiece Ed. and haven't played it yet?

Not really. realMyst is newer and better though, adding the possibility to actually walk and look around (the fyrst Myst is just still pictures), and also has additional content in the form of a new age. But at heart it's basically the same game.

Hopefully they get the other titles missing from the series on GOG. I have only played the original so far and have Riven and Uru in my queue.

I've managed to go without installing Quicktime on this PC for 15 months now (Along with Java and a few other things, for various reasons, including to see how long I can go with out them :}).
So a quick question is 'Do I need to do so to play these?', I remember having to do so with the copies on CD I have, but they're a struggle to get to work as well.
