Blade of Darkness, Overlord, Leisure Suit Larry collection, and more Codemasters classics 60% off!

We bet you missed promos! So here's one for you. And it's as sweet as leftover candy canes, with the entire [url=http://www.gog.com/promo/codemasters_weekend_promo_03012014]Codemasters Catalog of great games coming at you with a 60% off discount rate. After your wallet took a beating during our 2013 DRM-Free Winter Sale you might feel the impulse to walk away from such a great opportunity, but stop to think about it for one moment. Yes, the only logical move is to head right towards it. See, it was worth it! There's something new, and something old to be found on our promo page, to start the new year any way you like!

But maybe, just maybe, we should begin with something challenging, to burn all that extra pounds we gained over the holidays. Blade of Darkness (a.k.a. Severance) is an arcade fantasy slasher presented in third-person perspective, delivering a substantial challenge even to the most battle-hardened gamers. Known for gory and satisfying combat it boasts four different characters, each with their very own fighting style, specific weapons, and varied unlockable special attacks and combos. The game was praised for atmospheric level and enemy design, great graphics quality (wait till you see the shadows!), and gratifying combat. Exploring the game's many diverse locations and facing one formidable enemy after another, with death always breathing down your neck, makes the game feel quite on par with the recent super-hard fantasy fighting games.

What else do we have in store for you? Let's see. There are 2D games, and 3D games. Shooter games and strategy games. Racing games and soccer games. Games to cater to all tastes. And then, there's Leisure Suit Larry: Greatest Hits and Misses and Leisure Suit Larry: Love for Sail, famous for its poor taste, but still loved for great naughty humor!

Check out for yourself, head out to the Codemasters Catalog promo page! The offer lasts until Tuesday, January 7, at 4:59AM GMT.
Hey look! Not a release, but it's a promo! Excellent!

I hope that in the future there can be such a thing as Bethesda Promos.
Hmmm the only two on this list that catch my interest are Overlord and maybe blade of darkness... And those are iffy...

edit: By iffy it not being 'must have' to me.

Overlord is easily one of the best purchases I've ever made on this site. I wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone (especially those that hate cliched fantasy settings as much as I do) and I sincerely hope that 2014 will see the release of Overlord 2 on gog!

tu32: I really want to buy Colin McRae Rally :(
I want Colin McRae Rally 2005 and TOCA Race Driver 3 back on GOG. I'd be happy to buy them. However, I recall reading posts that mention that licenses to use some of the cars expired, and that the publisher probably doesn't consider it worthwhile to renew.

Here's an idea: If the price of license renewal isn't too much to be feasible, the publisher could run a Kickstarter to raise the money. Everyone who pledges $10 could get a code for one of the games when rereleased on GOG, and those who chip in $15 could get codes for both. Low risk project, and a win-win all the way around: We get the games, the publisher gets the license renewed without having to risk a significant investment, and GOG sells the games again.

Also, I want the newer games in those series released here, too.

I wholly concur with EVERYTHING you say. I love the driving/racing genre of PC gaming and it's a tad sparse on GOG.
I did not know Colin McRae 2005 and TOCA RD 3 was on GOG - it would be an instan-buy for me!

That being said, I'm glad Grid is finally on sale. I watched for it during the summer and the insomnia sale - but no luck.
Blade of Darkness looks interesting, but the combination of combo-based combat + hard difficulty equals no purchase to me. Overlord is fun, but I'm always in doubt if I buy here or in Steam (where I have Overlord 2). GOG, what about Overlord 2 here?
Is IGI 2 as shit as the reviews paint it? It looks so cool but if the comments about the AI are true I may have to pass.
Great promo. I wish to see more discount on this.
picked up grid. almost picked it up during the winter sale. hooray for an extra 1.50 off.
I really want Blade of Darkness and GRID, but my wallet is dry now. After the holidays, both me and my finances have to go on a diet, I think.

Another time, then.
GOG, you should start putting the Enigmatic hints in the Weekend Promo post.

Here's your E hint for next week's classic release:
derpderpderpderp
Recommend Blade of Darkness. Back in the day I managed to get to Mission 11/Level 11 with the barbarian without losing a life. A good hack 'n' slash which is far better than the likes of the newer Rise of the Argonauts. Overlord is good if you like your Dungeon Keeper style games. Cannon Fodder is an old classic. The rest vary in overall quality.
We need Overlord 2!
