GOG has been on a roll in terms of releases and sales, I wouldn't get my hopes too high when it comes to games we want not making the next promo.

:P

I got Constructor. I haven't slept since.
So.. no opinions about Slipstream 5000 and Soulbringer ?
Does Constructor really require insane micromanagement? (with frequent game overs)

What other city builder have you played? Granted while I have put in hours and hours I still haven't gotten off the 1st block but that's because of no tutorial not because of something I forgot to monitor or manage.

I've just read some reviews about it, and I need some other opinions.
They say that the game becomes frustrating and repetitive, with a terrible UI and tons of uninteresting micromanagent.

Did you ever play Fury3 or Terminal Velocity? Well, it's a cross between that and Wipeout, except with worse controls and no real sense of speed. If you really really like futuristic racers it might be worthwhile for the novelty alone, atleast at that price point, but in all honesty... It's not a game you're gonna wanna play for more than like 30 minutes... In total...

fronzelneekburm: As a side note on Eastern European bargain bins, I vividly remember a school trip to Prague back in 2004. In terms of video games, the stores were one giant bargain bin, with the selection consisting almost entirely of games that came out in the mid-1990s. I distinctly remember one store selling the original big box German (!) version of "Harvest Of Souls". I also found a factory sealed copy of "System Shock 1" (which is probably worth $100 billion on ebay right now) in one department store. Another game I remember finding was the big boxed version of "The Godfather".. not that one, THAT ONE. Of course, my dumbassed 10-years-younger self didn't bother to bring any money and I'm still agonizing over that to this very day.
repeat school geography, please - its MIDDLE european, if you refer about prague.

its to the west of wien, after all ;-)

you have probably never visited eastern europe, which means mainly european part of russia (to the ural mountains)

I quite liked both Terminal Velocity and Wipeout (even if the latter is too hard for me).
So Slipstream isn't anything special.. too bad.
Thanks

JudasIscariot: If anyone's on the fence regarding Normality, I can totally recommend it. I decided to take it for a test drive as I remembered when it came out way back when but I never had the chance to play back when it came out. I am glad I did as it's a really fun and interesting game. The puzzles aren't that hard and this is coming from a person who gets stumped by some adventure games.

I do recommend playing it in a window as Normality being a 3D game really benefits from that :)

lugum: But unfortunately not with the us voices as many requested.
AFAIK there were probably legal reasons why we don't have the U.S. voices. I say AFAIK because the game was way before my time as a GOG employee :)
Commandos Ammo Pack, Commandos 2+3, Constructor, Imperial Glory, Praetorians, Hostile Waters: Antaeus Rising:
Check, check, check, check, check and check.
Outstanding bargain bin promo.
I just bought all games from the promo. I'd like too see more Merge Games and Team17 titles on GOG.

Could you at least double-check when you get a chance, please? :) EDIT: Actually I guess it'd be obvious, as GOG does try to bring all they can (extra languages, bonus content) and they probably knew many people wanted the U.S. voices.

EDIT2: Says here - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Normality_%28video_game%29#Versions - Interplay owns the rights to the U.S. version (unless that changed hands at some point). It'd definitely be nice if they'd be willing to allow the Corey Feldman version to be downloadable, if GOG were willing to pay a one-time fee or something for that. (Heck, I'd be willing to email Interplay myself, but I'm sure official GOG staff would have more sway.)

Hmmmm, that looks like a tangled web of legalese from my untrained-in-law perspective and so I doubt we'll be seeing the U.S. voices here in the future. Sorry :(
Normally I participate in very few promos but everything has been gold this week that I've purchased at least one item from the past three.

Wednesday: Red Shirt
Friday: Hitman (all three)
Today: Worms 2
