Get Fallout series, Descent series, MDK, Kingpin, Redneck Rampage and many, many more stunning Interplay classics 50% off!

This weekend, we get back to the basics with our [url=http://www.gog.com/promo/interplay_weekend_promo_041013]Entertaining Interplay Promo! Looking at this vast selection of classic titles one can't help but to ask: why are some of these still missing from my collection? Almost everything in this promo is a must-have for every classic PC-gaming enthusiast. Luckily you can grab everything you were missing with a 50% off discount this weekend. Let's take a look at some of the half-priced gems, shall we?

It's only $4.99 for each of the classic post-apocalyptic RPG, . That will leave you with enough bottle-caps to grab yourself a nuka-cola later. In the same price you can get the games from the [url=]Descent series. In this case, you should probably invest the money you save into some vertigo medicine. And speaking of vertigo, a game that starts off with a sequence of stratosphere free-fall and explodes into an orgy of bullets and badassery, MDK is available for only $2.99. Get into the action!

That's only a few of 34 Interplay games you can get 50% off this weekend. Make sure to navigate to the Promo Page, to see the whole robust selection. The promo lasts until Tuesday, October 8, at 9:59AM GMT.

tinyE: Sorry to keep posting in here, just one two more stupid questions: how is the save game feature for the two MDK titles and it Messiah worth a few bucks for the concept or is it really the huge pain I keep hearing about?
Buy all three now, or I'll kick you in the testicle .

teabow: I'll probably (finally) pick up Fallout 1 and 2 at this price.

Can someone remind me how much Interplay titles were discounted during the recent summer sale ?
They were 50% off as well, but Interplay made GOG pull the discount partway through the sale

blotunga: The lowest price they had was $2.99, but they were selling for $6 back then. Now they cost $10 by default :(. Should've bought them back then. But normally in time the prices of games go down not up :((
Which ones are you talking about ?

MasodikTiasma: Friends, is it truly worth it?

AlKim: Few things are, if you'll excuse my laconic self.
Laconic philosophers were always the best.

Vindici: Could someone elaborate on that? My spider sense is tingling.

blotunga: Well it's simple really. Because of a lawsuit and settlement :/. After 1.1.2014 Bethesda will own the rights to Fallout 1&2 and Tactics too. And have you seen any Bethesda titles around here?

Quote:
" Interplay, meanwhile, can continue to peddle its own post-apocalyptic wares in the form of Fallout, Fallout 2, and Fallout Tactics – but only until December 2013. "
More likely than not, they will remain available on Steam, but owning classics on Steam when they are available on GOG just feels dirty somehow (in a bad way :) ). I already repurchased Thief series and Deus Ex to have them DRM-Free, and would be willing to do so with Fallout too (I have the Steam versions). Not to mention Mac users get screwed unless Steam adds compatibility. Still, I just bought GTA V and Breaking Bad Complete Series Box Set within the last couple weeks so this poor sonuvabitch is gonna be waiting til the inevitable holiday sale.

Oh sure, jump on the guy with only one testicle, I'm an easy target!
*waves private parts at Licurg's aunties*

Oh and I got em. I can't afford to eat for the rest of the month, but I got em! :D

I think all Interplay games were originally sold for $6, the price of a few titles was raised to $10 last Autumn or Winter right after that huge Interplay "Pay What You Want" sale (which was hardly PWYW but whatever).

I know that, I meant which ones he wanted to get.
Hmm, only Interplay game that I don't have is Subwar 2050. I guess I'll have to grab it.

It's strange, though. When I go to the game catalog and filter by Interplay games, Subwar is listed twice, see pic, but only when sorted by bestselling. Sorted any other way, the duplicate disappears.

Wait, I just took another look and Screamer 2, Earthworm Jim 3D, Die By the Sword, Conquest of the New World, VR Soccer, M.A.X. 1 & 2, and Evolva are there twice as well.

Now that I think about it, the order seems out of whack as well. I sincerely doubt Screamer 2 has outsold the Fallouts. I know we've had bestselling sorting issues in the past, but this is the first that I've seen where it created another instance of a game.

Okay, and playing around with it, I find that there are several games missing when sorted by bestselling, including Stonekeep. I guess the duplicates are replacing some of the missing games. There's some crazy witchcraft going on here!

And done :).. Phew, safe from evil Bethesda's hands :P
Argh, I forgot about the impending loss of Fallout. Guess I better buy them, even though I've bought them in like three different forms already over the years.
