Hm, the post took some time to come up, is it the video ninja to blame?
Any recommendations? I like many genres.

If you're into adventure games and games with a strong mystery element I wholeheartedly recommend the Syberia games, especially the first one.
Good promo to adventure fans. I recommend Robin Hood: The Legend of Sherwood for Commandos fans

Still Life 1 I can wholeheartedly recommend - terrific atmosphere and an engaging, well told story (the sequel is nowhere near as good, unfortunately).

Yeah, I recommend you stay as far away from the Atlantis games as humanly possible. Well, I only played the first one, but that was so horrible it convinced me never to touch the series again.
Hmm, might be time to get Syberia 2 and Still Life here, but on the other hand I am already spending tons on amazon and Steam stuff.
Thanks for Post Mortem!
I played it years ago but never owned. It's hardly an adventure gem even if the beginning of game was very well done and stylish in a grim way, but it's unique enough to lie on my shelf next to Still Life (which sadly suffers from ills of its predecessor too) :).

Oh, I saw that Coming next week hint in the video :o.

Still Life. It's got numerous flaws - a few ridiculously poor puzzles, some dragging loading screens disguised as cutscenes and poor voice acting among others - but if you can forgive them, it's a genuinely good murder mystery kind of adventure game. I liked it a lot.

Still Life is technically the second instalment of a trilogy. Post Mortem takes place decades before Still Life and is almost entirely unrelated (it only introduces a character that you'll get to know anyway) and hence you can skip it. Just as well seeing as it's not all that good IMO. I've heard Still Life 2 was disappointing as well, although I have yet to verify this myself.

EDIT: Thanks, GOG, for having a promo where I already own all the games I want. Saves me the money I need for a new bike.

Nope. It's just some regular ninjas storming GOG.com office. Nothing we couldn't handle, though.

An important tip for potential customers: should you experience any issues (slowdowns in particular), remember to grab ddwrapper - it made Desperados and Robin Hood LoS run properly on my machine (huge thanks to Danny252!).

thanks for the tips, not sure about that recommendation for Still Life though, AlKim...
:-(
TET sounded a little bit weird today - not as suave as usual.
And he's got a terrible Texan accent. ;D

Syberia 1+2 look very, very tempting to be honest ... but I'm not sure, I still haven't picked up the 5 for 10 bundle yet.
